Hi everyone and please help with my 2015 A8 with the ignition on/ engine running door chime when the door is opened.
I have tried the country change to every country on the list/ tried finding a ignition detection in adaptations and evrything else in numerous threads but nothing seems to work. Although I am new to this I can't believe it cannot be turned off ! Can anyone give me a pointer ?

Asked the same to a techician working for VAG and specialized in coding. Answer is : not possible at all. Just a tip : when opening the door with engine running, you can manually stop the chime by pushing the left or right arrow on the left side of the steering wheel...  |

Thanks for replying ! I thought so and I'm getting used to pressing the ok button but it's a pain in the proverbial.... Sure I will be back to ask some more bits soon, just getting used to the coding bit.

Control unit 46-comfort system Adaptation-channel 98- change bit-(1 to 0) Go to long coding - open door chime- on or off |

The longcoding part, it's Byte 9, and Bit 1 & 4 that you need to turn off.
