Hi everybody.
in the last version of OBDeleven, when I scan all the units the 5F is lost.
if I want that it appears visible I have to uncheck and check in the unit list.
any idea for this?

Hallo,

I also have this problem and I reported it a couple months ago through the OBDeleven support. It hasn’t been fixed, as far as I know. But, there is a workaround: when you are viewing the list of control units, just refresh the page (pull down), then unit 5F will show up.
OBDeleven, you have a lot of bugs... Some fixes would be appreciated. We pay money for your service and for your device.

Annoyingly I also have this with my GTI 7.5 and neither clearing the app cache and data or the refresh under control units allows me to see the 5f control unit I had planned to retrofit a rear view camera this weekend

Evening sorry do you mean the rear view option? I have changed camera type within the Parking Assistance 76 module to rear view camera I'm under impression i also need to change Byte 19 bit 4 to activated within 5f module. Could this be accessed with the gateway module?

What i mean: there's a little green circle with a pen in your ECU list and with this you can add and remove ECUs from your view. If 5F isn't checked then it won't appear.

I suspect that you are assuming that OP will install a new control module @ address hex6C as part of his/her rear view camera retro-fit. This is not normally required on a mk7 and it's quite a complicated task given that it requires the installation of a new wiring loom and the fitment of other components.
More than likely, I suspect that OP intends to only install the rear view camera in the closable VW symbol (on the trunk-lid). If so, the Wiring for the project looks like this:
Notice the absence of any connections to the CAN network - this means that for this type of installation, the rear-camera system does not need to be registered with the Gateway module. All that needs to happen is that the module @ address hex5F must be told that the rearview camera is installed and to start using it. This is done via the software switch in the module's code-string
Please forgive my reply if you already knew this
Don

Thanks very much that's exactly what I'm doing to test the camera prior to running the cables I have it sat in the passenger seat and it appears to be working as required except I can't make the coding change. I will.now try to enable the module again but this did not work yesyerday

whytey if you are not a member of the Beta testing group (which will be closing down in the near future) may I suggest you upgrade to the beta version forum.obdeleven.com/thread/463/registration as there were a few issues with the last release. You can always leave the group but this should hopefully get you seeing all your control units

Same issue here - no F5 on the list, even though it's enabled in the gateway list
