Can I use the OBD11 to reset the ECU? I'm trying to do something like this from the VAG-COM instructions:

Install the new ECU in the car

[Select]

[17 - Instruments]

[Adaptation - 10]

Leave channel at "00"

[Read]

[Save]

[Done, Go Back]

[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

[Exit]

Turn ignition OFF for 15 seconds. Start vehicle.

No vag com automated a lot of the stuff going on here compared to obdeleven can do on its own.

You have to write the vin to the ecu in order to have it match everything and then reprogram all of your keys again as well to be stored into the new ecu.

You will also need the security code of the new ecu to program keys to the vehicle
