Hi guys,
I got my Tiguan just 2 weeks ago, leds on the roof are desactivated due of safety issue.
Is it possible to reactivate them by obd?

Thanks in advance, As far as I've read, all new Tigs no longer have the wiring harness in place connecting the leds in the roof assembly. Stange solution by VW but there you go.... |

In my case the wiring was installed, the led was unplugged, so I plugged it, and I activate the the function in the BCM and that’s is.... previously I changed the fuse and a connector that solved the security topic.... let me check if I can find the option into adaptation list

Was deactivated because of water getting into it and was done as shorting it out could cause a fire.
Rectivating it may void your insurance if it should cause said fire because of your actions

The roof now shows in the menu. |

As a previous poster pointed out, this was disabled due to the OEM connectors not being waterproof. Water was getting in and causing shorts and fires.
The only way to truly go about fixing would be buying the proper parts from a supplier and rewriting them and then program them.
The parts aren’t all that expensive roughly $12-$15 bucks or something like that.

Link is the official repair doc from VW that has the part numbers needed. I think all together is was around $22.
