Hi all, first post and I did search first honest.

I swapped the stereo in my daughters GT TDI golf and despite knowing I reconnected the battery with the air bag light disconnected and its now stays illuminated. I need to turn that out for the MOT so thought time to buy a tool as we have 3 VAG's in the family. So as a first time user will I be able to do this with ODB Eleven? I've not bought it and currently looking to go down the VCDS route but considering this instead.

Are you referring to the "Passenger Airbag OFF" light under the Hazard switch?

If so, I'd suggest manually switching the key inside the glove compartment to the OFF position, doing a test drive, then switch the it ON, then do a quick test drive.

Note: There should be no key in the ignition when you do the actual switch.

VCDS will not find any error codes if OBDeleven doesn't display any. I'd advise you to "clear" any fault codes in the module #15 (ensure the seatbelts are unbuckled, and no one is sitting in the seats when clearing the imaginary errors).
