Hello,
i have a Golf 5 Variant (in USA: Jetta Sportwagen) from 2008.
I installed other taillights with LED for parking lights. All other lights are bulbs.
Now i want to disable the cold and warm check, so i can remove the resistor box that gets hot and has no other function than simulate a bulb.
Is this possible? I dont want to completely turn off the light check.
I found a coding for normal Golf 5 with GTI LED lights, but not for Variant so i think its not the same.
Also do you have other codings for Golf 5 Variant?

do you need this even if there is no error? the taillights have small boxes with an resistor to simulate a bulb. i want to remove these, so i need to disable the check.

You can try to change byte 19 value from 7F to 73 this will disable "Rear Parking Lights cold diagnosis " and "Rear Parking Lights diagnosis"

i already tried to set bit 2
it worked if i turned on ignition: no warning lamp. but when i switched on parking light, it showed the lamp error.
then i had set bit 2 and 3 like youve wrote. the same reaction as above.............
i dont know if its possible then...
the cold check will be disabled like this. but i need to disable the warm check
