Hello all. I’m considering purchasing OBDeleven for my new 2019 Golf R Special Edition (Australia). I haven’t been able to find a list of tweaks for the mk7.5, only the mk7. Does anyone know whether the tweaks are the same for both, or if the differ?
Or, does anyone have a list of tweaks for the mk7.5 models?
Thanks in advance!

Yes and no, some work the same but some of the modules have different codings inside (like central electronics, access control has changed to ZV) so the codings will need to be tweaked to get them to work, and some of the hardware on the car has changed too (like the light/rain sensor) which means some tweaks won’t work, but that also means that new tweaks are available for them, plus of course trim levels and world demands means cars have different hardware so something in Europe may not be available in somewhere like the US,
There’s never a definitive list tho

Thanks for the info. I suppose the easiest way to find out is get an android device and download the app? I’ve read that you can see the available tweaks for each car/model without the dongle. At least with the one-click apps.

I can’t really help on that as I don’t use the apps, find it easier long coding, but I think sometimes the app picks up the wrong car so be careful of that

Thanks for the tip. I bought an android device and opened the OBDEleven app (without the device as I don’t have it yet) but had to manually choose the car to see what’s available. Will definitely keep a close eye on which car is registered once I pluck the device in.

UPDATE: Got my OBDeleven dongle today and had a bit of a play. I can confirm that some of the apps and at least one of the long coding adaptations DOES NOT WORK on my 2019 mk7.5 R Special Edition (in Australia, similar to Performance Package in Europe I think?) Car that shows up in my garage is a Golf R 2019 (I’m not sure how to know if the app selected it through the dongle scan or if it’s still my pre-dongle, manually selected car?) Apps that don’t work: - Acoustic sound on lock/unlock (took credits though) - Dashboard Theme Style (not supported) Long coding Adaptations that don’t work - Acoustic sound on lock/unlock, following instructions found on the forum here www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/25934-daves-mega-75-obdeleven-thread/Not sure if the car is too new and the proper codings haven’t been found yet?

The acoustic may not work if you haven’t got a factory fitted alarm as the siren isn’t fitted, have you tried changing it from siren to horn?

Hey. My car has a factory alarm (it went off while washing recently). I have not tried the horn option which I never liked on my GTI.
I’ve read that VAG have changed the coding for things like Auto Stop/Start so the mk7 tweak no longer works for mk7.5, so I wonder if a similar thing has occurred with acoustic lock (and other tweaks) between 2018 and 2019 mk7.5 golfs?
