Hello ,
I installed an OEM rear view camera in my R-line 2018.
Since there isnt an app for this setup can anyone help with the coding for this feature?
I tried with Activating Rear View Camera choice in Parking Assistance and Information Control Unit but nothing....

sharkmanHello Have you solved with your RVC? I also have the same problem. I installed an OEM RVC with dynamic lines but I can't encode. The scan finds me two errors in these modules: 19 CAN GATEWAY 6C BACKUP CAMERA

What’s the long coding of the high line, I ask this because most high lines come out not programmed and you need to go to a dealer to get it done

Highline reverse camera, as coding to get all the options is different from lowline with less options Lowline  Highline (notice the buttons on right hand side to change camera angles/parking space)  Make sure 5F-long coding-byte19-bit4 is set to not active Go into 5F adaptions Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2: VPS_0x0B: activated VPS_0x0B_msg_bus: Comfort data bus Then depending on what buttons you have missing go into 6c-long coding correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_1 correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_2 correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_3 correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_5 4 and 6 give you function not available |

Because that’s for the low line camera, which has no module, it literally a lense and a motor to open it, it takes the open comand from the voltage off the reverse light, whereas the high line takes it open command from the canbus,
I actually prefer the low line camera settings myself because the screen is only on when in reverse, whereas the high line switches on in reverse and only switches off if you put the car in park or you go over a certain speed, so you loose park pilot
But like I said, check the long coding of the camera to make sure it’s programmed

The scan gives me an error in the BUS and also OBD11 does not let me do coding in module 6C why? Do you need a security code? He tells me "function not available". |

Can you go into the 6c module?
function not available can be a number of things
function is not actually programmable because you haven’t the permission (vw only)
battery is too low
app on tablet has got a bit confused and data needs to be cleared
wifi a bit rubbish

And i just activated 5f 19 bit4
work fine
But i allways have error msg who says park assit error since the activation.
I have no park assit option
Any idea ?
And if someone has the datasheep or map or image..

I've just installed and coded my rear camera high...but I can see the image correctly but without the guidance lines and on the right bar I have no 3 options on the top! And more the image looks too much zoomed...I can't see the bumper on it....is it a coding mistake? My obdeleven app didnt let me activate correspondence_HMI_RV_mode 2, 3 and 5 but only 1! And in 5F adaptions did not activated VPS_0x0B since the camera wasnt showing anymore (trunk open message was showed), _msg_bus was on Extended_bus. Someone can help me? |

on the back of dvd unit, as it has to be...wirings are ok, since the camera is correctly recognized and it IS showing the image.
The only thing is that it is missing the steering lines, and the options for towing ecc, it is definitely a coding problem, i really dont know which are the options to be activated!

So...got it from aliexpress (not sure if i can post the link), and yes, the 2 can-bus cables are connected together with can-bus wires in the can connector in the back of dvd unit

Only two cables? The wiring harness has more for the highline camera and the water nozzle connection. Can you send the link privately?
And what is the part number on the camera?

Cables are not only two... 2 for can bus, 2 for signal and 2 for power
anyway...i think the problem is that i cannot do the long codig for the 6c module due to error 31, do i need the security access code right?

If those security codes don’t work then it’s not a coding issue. I didn’t need to enter a security code. The link you sent doesn’t show anything. I suspect it’s not a genuine VW part hence the coding issue

from what i understand, it is probably a genuine part but without the correct firmware in it (in fact i can see audi brand in the coding)...and probably needs odis for uploading the correct firmware.

Your cheapest option it to buy a used camera from a breakers yard. I couldn’t get mine calibrated and it was cheaper to get a used one than take it to get calibrated plus I got nowhere using OBDeleven calibration.
