Hi

I have tried to use the "Basic setting of transmission" functionality in (02) - Transmission - basic settings.
Oil/Engine temperature is 60+ degress
DSG is in PARK
Foot on brake
ignition on, engine off

At the beggining I hear a lot of mechanical noise from the gearbox - as expected - however after a minute, the active status changes to
"Cancelled due to detected malfunction" - what does this mean or what could be the reason to it?

The above was, without luck, being performed on a T-ROC 1.5 DSG (DQ200 - 7 speed dry)

I don't know your car but based on what i have seen on the web I would make the following suggestions.

1/ There must be no fault codes on the DSG, I suspect if there are you need to clear them first.

2/ On the brakes you need both parking and foot brake on

Then the only other thing I can suggest is that you do a OBD11 Android data clear and also Bluetooth clear on your phone.

This sometimes helps with strange errors, also make sure you do have strong internet connection as that can cause issues.
