Hi all I'm new to this and to my new car anyway I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have a 2017 cupra 290 manual And it's terrible especially when it's wet (most of the time)
Under hard acceleration when it starts to spin a wheel the esp kicks in and makes quite a loud bang and shops the spin.
This happens in sport mode and even with the esp switched off
What can i do to stop this and be able to modulate the power myself with the throttle
Please help

xrbong the front wheel drive system in the Leon is very good for bendy twisty roads but not so good for launch control style acceleration. Long story short you need to do the following 1/ Fit a better dog bone mount - check out forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/dog-bone-mount-again.447381/ for some ideas on this. This is a very simple but effective cure. 2/ The stock rubber that SEAT deliver the car with is rubbish and not good at holding the power you need to change to Michelin PS4S Tyres. they are expensive but will change the way the car handles. There are many tweaks you can apply to the LSD and XDS System but in my view these are much better to control speed handling rather than dealing with axle tramp. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Im on it now and really hope i can get it sorted. I see theres a lower gearbox mount insert i can add so im guessing i should change this as well? But how do i know which one i need As theres two possible options depending on the bush thats already fitted to the car

If you are upping the power then you need to replace the Engine Mounts, There are also Gearbox mounts but from what I have read you only need these for track work.
If you search on seatcupra.net there are instructions on how to find out what mount you need, you are correct there are two.
For a stock car this will make a huge difference and if you are modified then you need this to help control the power.
