Greetings-
I have a 2018 B9 Prestige with High Beam Assist (stock), but after its last trip to the dealer two months ago to have the ACC and lane assist fixed (had codes pop up on factory coding with no coding changes), the high beams have stopped activating a majority of the time. I can turn on the HBA mode and get the white/automatic logo on the VC, the MMI shows they are on, but the high beams fail to activate even in complete pitch black highway driving (I make the same 150 mile highway night drive each week, with no traffic lights along a majority of the drive).
There are no faults, the high beams work perfectly fine when activated manually, and the LED headlights themselves work perfectly, but I can't figure out why the HBA will not activate consistently on their own. There have been two or three night drives where they DID activate and work perfectly, switching on and off as cars and lights popped up, but there was no rhyme or reason that I could find as to why they worked those few times, but not the others, on the same road, in the same conditions. I have not screwed with any coding, but did get an OBD11 to check the coding/adaptations on 09 and A5 and the coding is correct when I compare it to working code I've found on the forums. The HBA app says they are active as well (again, I didn't screw with this, I only checked to see if it showed active or not), so I am kind of stumped as to where else to look? I travel quite a bit for work, so I have been unable to get the car back to the dealer to have them deal with it, and am hoping it's something easy I can fix with OBD11, if I can just figure out where to look within the modules/coding.
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
