Hello,
I have a new A5 from 2017 with all extras, and I bought OBD PRO one month ago
I could activate several things but lane assist. In step one, after pressing the green button, a red steering wheel appears in my car and after a few seconds the app says: "make sure ignotion is turned on"
Ive checked this forum because that message is common, but I couldnt find anything concrete
Could someone help me? I wrote to OBD support by using the mobile app but they did not offer me any solution and sent me here

What do you mean? I tried with ignition on, engine off and (maybe) the driver door was open while I was trying, but not locked

Ive tried (a few minutes ago) with doors closed, doors locked, unlocked, radio off, AC off... none of them works, same error
any ideas? Ive seen its a common problem

I have the same issue. I had it working great. I then turned it off as my car was going into the shop. When it came out, I couldn’t get it activated again. I contacted obdeleven’s help desk and they said that it’s likely that the dealer flashed my controller. Obdeleven is working on a fix, but did not provide a timeline.

I friend of mine couldnt activate it in previous OBD Eleven version, but he could with the last one!! So the fixed something... but it is stil not working on my car

You see? OBD support told me that it can not be activated in my car, but I thinks is not that (cause my car is new, with matrix, advanced camera and all extras); I guess OBD has to launch an update to fix the activation

I had it activated but I took it to the Audi workshop and it was deactivated and I could not activate it from there.
I think it's because of a protection of components that put me in the workshop, installing the new software.

It worked perfectly until I left the workshop and I could not activate it again.
Hopefully, give us a solution in ODBELEVEN

Anyway, I just wrote ODBELEVEN and it tells me that AUDI has installed the most modern software version and that it is no longer possible to put the application.
Now I am angry because I can not use the ODBELEVEN.

...but I havent visited Audi since I bought the car, in 2017. So my problem is not that. I could never activate the lane assist

I think we have the same problem, we sure have both the same software installed and that's what does not let us activate the Lane Assist.
since OBDELEVEN they have told me they are working to find a solution.

but you said they installed the latest software version in your car... and mine is 2 years old; so do you think I have the latest version?

ODBELEVEN has told me that they are working on solving the problem and that this problem is due to the protection of new software components.
You have to trust that they get an update on ODBELEVEN to solve this problem.

Do you know how I can send them the log with the detail error. The asked me to press the "three dots" in the screen where the error appears but I cant find them

Hi I have the same issue.
I have a 2015 Golf MK7 I have OBDEleven non pro version and all the other apps load fine i have tried a few like change multimedia theme and they all work fine.
There are 2 apps that I am interested in Lane Assist and Speed Sign Recognition Assist. When i load these apps it just spins and then says make sure ignition is turned on and then gives me the option of trying again.
I only just Purchased this Golf from a VW Dealership last month so I was wondering have they flashed software to block this?
Is there anything I can do? Would this work via Long coding instead of using the App?

I have activated it without problem on my A5 2019, lane assist is now working; only things is that I had to unlock the hood to work.

Guys any luck ? I tried it today with the new gen device on a a5 spbk 2017 September delivery vehicle . It has high beam assist so the multifunction camera is installed . Tried with hood open , doors locked , unlocked . But to no avail . Please help if you guys hace sorted this out already thanks

I just got my new 2019 Q5 and updated to OBD Eleven next generation. I was successful in using other Apps- Gear Display, Easy Entry/Exit, etc, but had the same error message when trying to use the 100 credit app for ALA. I saw the red steering wheel light up on the dash so I have no idea why this failed.
Very frustrating!
