Hi. My wife’s 2018 A4 has all the cameras (front, back, and under mirrors), and when parking, the left side of the MMI screen can show any those camera views individually. The right side of the MMI screen shows an aerial view of the car, but only as a Graphic view (diagram of car, surrounded in black). If I use the right-menu button, I can toggle to the Camera View (see attached photo) and the right side of the MMI then shows the 360 aerial camera view, showing all the live views around the car from the cameras, such as parking lines, sidewalk, barriers, etc. The Camera View stays in effect until the next time the car is shut off and restarted, and then it reverts back to Graphic View. We can’t get it to stay on Camera View. I mention this to the Audi dealership, and the service guy says that is normal. When I told him that my SQ5 keeps the Camera View all the time, he claims that this just because it is a bigger car, and the A4 doesn’t need this because it is a smaller car. Not sure what he is smoking, but I’m sure there must be a way in the Long Codes to turn on Camera View permanently. Anybody know where to find this?

This is long standing problem with 2018 Audi's (is your SQ5 2018?) From my understanding, this only happens when parking assist is activated and the car reverts to the "standard" graphic view since overhead camera view is an option. I also mentioned it to my Audi service tech and he said I am the first person to complain about this as far as he is concerned. Anyways, read somewhere that if you have an updated MMI (version 1320) the problem has been corrected. I am hoping that I can get the updated version for my S4 at the 10k service - fingers crossed. Here is a link to the problem: www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-mkii-discussion-211/top-view-camera-changing-graphic-mode-2930598/page9/

Thanks for that link; I had no idea how many people are having this problem. My wife’s car is a 2018 A4 (delivered in January 2018), and the MMI version is 1118. My car is a 2018 SQ5 (I took delivery in Aug 2017), with MMI version 0918. Despite being on an older sw version, I’ve never had the problem in the SQ5 - works fine every time.
