Hi, New here.
Searched forums, but couldn't find a clear answer.
I have 2017 Q7.
Using ZTE android, Obdeleven is not showing up in bluetooth list on phone. Phone is connected to wifi. App says "unable to connect"
1. tried plugging in and out multiple times. 2. turned bluetooth to visible in mmi (not sure why this would help, but someone in a post said it worked for them) 3. dongle has a faint orange/red light that is steady, so dongle is getting power (but no other flashing lights or anything) 4. tried uninstalling and reinstalling software. 5. i don't see the device on my iphone as well (i know there is no app support)
so far nothing seems to work. starting to think its a faulty device, but wanted to rule out everything else.

Hi,
it's normal that the dongle isn't showing up in your bluetooth settings. The app finds the dongle itself and pairs it. Have you tried another phone? Is this your first connection?

I would have to try to find another android device to test with, but yes, it is first connection.
I also tried to give the app location permissions, as I found that tip in the Help section of the app, but still no luck.

Yeah location permission is needed in order to let the app automatically pair.

Have you tried it with another android device? That would really help to determine if the dongle is faulty.
