I cannot get my boot to open. Dealer programmed new key fob and it has not worked since. The wiring is ok at the hinge. badge switch is ok. Latch works with 12v. The trunk lights turn on when open, but dash does not recognize that it is open. There are 4 wires to the latch. three white wires. I cannot get the release wire to change state. I did find in adaptation that the rear door is off. Is this correct or how do I change it. Is there a coding module for the rear hatch/boot?

Did you or the deal made the mistake of coding the car to say that it has 2 locking motors instead of just 1 locking motor?
How are you sure that the wiring at the hinge is good (that's usually the culprit). I've read somewhere that the trunk latch is a "positive grounded" design where it is the negative terminals that close the circuit to operate things. The fact that your latch works with 12V doesn't tell us if you connected the 12V to the motor itself, or through the complete harness to confirm that the harness itself is good You may have an odd issue where the CECM / Central electronic module is fried in that portion of the circuitry somehow. It isn't a fuse problem as it is shared with the other doors. There is no "adaptation" for the
You need to post your full coding for your car so I can load it in VCDS and see what it looks like.

Dealer programmed new key fob and it has not worked since Did they code a "Valet" key? Valet keys, don't open the rear hatch, and glove box

Post your complete coding so I can see how it compares to my MK5 hatchback. My hatchback has a hiccup, but I'm convinced my issue is broken wires by the hinge area of the trunk.
