Hi guys, I've been using OBD11 for a few weeks now and changed a few things on my car, so thanks OBDeleven dev's!!
This is kind of a long shot .. as I'm not sure if there are any adaptions to make a fix to my issue!
USE CASE
If you open the tailgate by remote control (by long keypress) the tailgate beeper goes off and tailgate opens .. all good.
However if this is done accidentally .. as middle key on fob is higher than the rest and if in your pocket, then a chair arm or just sitting on the fob can trigger a long press.
So tailgate opens .. AND STAYS OPEN!! .. it never shuts .. it will stay open until the car is robbed of all the stuff!!! If you do this with the UNLOCK DOOR button, then the car re-locks after 30s (if no door has been opened). There should be a similar concept for tailgate (maybe 5, 10min etc)
I've now done this 3 or 4 times and tailgate has been open ALL NIGHT .. only to find when I go to drive to work the tailgate has been open for 9 hours. Once or twice I get a text from my neighbour telling me the tailgate is open!
Q. Is there a TIMEOUT VALUE to re-lock the tailgate?
I've had a look through rear deck controller and central electrics, but can't find anything useful.
Any thoughts .. anyone?
