Used the OBD eleven tool for the first time and, while I can't be 100% certain it caused it, my odometer seemed to have reset.
I'm assuming it reset to zero but I only noticed it when it was around 2300km. I should have close to 15000km.
I stuck closely to using tutorials/instructions online when programming mirror dip, windows up with rain, convenience locking. I also used the UrbanJoke app for the kencha lights.
Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

Looking at my history on the App, I can see "Mileage: 2251km" as well as the date. I have about 20 entries in my history and every one of them reads the same "mileage." In other words, a cursory look doesn't seem to prove that anything I did changed my vehicle's odometer - which should read around 15,000km.

^^^^ Joey: Of course anything is possible, but the mk7 is fitted with a fifth generation immobiliser that makes winding-back the odometer extremely unlikely. Even if the repairer needed to install another instrument cluster after the accident, the process would have required a FAZIT (a link to VW Head-office) connection to re-load the original data in the car.
Don PS: if your repairer was able to change the odometer, there will be lots of used car businesses who will be interested in finding-out how it was done!

Joey here. I believe my issue has been resolved and I was misinterpreting any difference in my vehicles mileage. DV52, thanks a lot for the informative (and interesting) reply.
