Fully expect to have this post deleted or flamed, but im pretty sure im not the only person who feels the same way
so i was among the first buyer's of the OBDEleven and the initial hype showed so much promise and i really did expect it to become something great, i even remember claims made by some that it was serious competition to the likes of VCDS, however its kinda stuck in the same place as it was when i first got it. Still incredibly slow and difficult to get to work as it should, I got it out of the drawer today to see if any thing had improved in the last few months unfortunately not.
Yes the user interface looks pretty but its far from user friendly, infact downright frustrating at times.
Simple tasks are so over complicated or impossible to find, I actually gave up on it and threw it in a drawer and carried on using my delphi unit as at least it was easy to navigate and you could find what you were looking for with ease. Plug in the delphi on a 2000-2003 VW beetle, Go to engine ECU functional test aircon clutch and it will click in and out as much as you like. Try even finding that option on OBDEleven, output tests have little or no documentation, why is there not detailed output channel lists available on the site at least, why shold we have to spend hours trawling through the web and the VCDS pages to find what should be basic information needed for the product you sell.
The help and information on here is so fragmented that it is just as frustrating to find answers, and then the answers that are given just seem to be irrelevant.
The site needs to have a proper reference section that covers actual technical information, such as channel lists, groups and datablocks to allow people to find the info rather than posting questions that are not being answered.
The output tests on the OBDELEVEN system need to be checked for functionality on more vehicle's as i knw that they just dont work on the one in my worshop at the moment, a 2004 beetle cabriolet 2.0 petrol.
