I have started this thread because we are seeing lots of issues being raised many times so hopefully people will read this first to help them resolve the problem.
The thread is only open to Moderators as it is not intended to be a live thread otherwise the answers will get lost in the volume of traffic.
There is lots of information about how to use this tool on this site and the web. If you are unsure do some research or ask a question rather thank pushing buttons and finding you have caused issue.

| Can OBD11 Damage my Engine / Gearbox performance / economy map | 5 | My belief is NO because they use different parts of the cars setup, otherwise we would all be using OBD11 to map our cars. |
| Can using OBD11 affect my New Car Warranty | 6 | Short answer is yes, if you modify the car and there is a fault and the Dealership are aware of you making changes they can (and do) reject warranty claims. However in general the rule is Warranty is only impacted if its obvious you change is in the same area that you are making a claim. So if you enable needle sweep and your lights stop working they are not connected so should not be an issue. I can't guarantee but unlike the TD1 Flag for engine / gearbox maps OBD11 changes are not automatically notified but VAG are constantly updating software so that may change over time. |
| Google Adverts don't work | 7 | Sometimes Google servers get very busy and you will get error message along the lines of currently there are no adverts, you just have to keep trying. AdBlockers can also cause issues so that the Google stuff is blocked. Any error messages you see on the bottom of the advert screen are from Google, OBD11 just shares them it has no input or way of dealing with these issues. |
| If I delete my account do I need to buy another Pro Licence | 8 | YES, The Pro Licence is against the account, if you have deleted the account I am afraid you will have to buy another Pro License, If you loose the dongle then you only need to buy a new dongle but keep the same pro account. |
| How do I restore back to Stock | 9 | Many people get carried away and in a mess because they keep coding and loose track of what and where they started. For Long Coding its easy to copy your start coding and cut and paste it. However for all other changes you need to revert one by one. RECOMMENDATION IS BEFORE YOU START ANY CHANGES DO A BACK UP so you have an easy to see guide of where you want to be at the end.... |

| Why cant I see the same items as per YouTube Video | 12 | This is because in simple terms the car that is used in the Video is different to yours, this can be because Its an older car so has Non UDS Control Units rather than the more modern UDS Ones Its a older car that has long coding in the BEB (Control Unit 09) but VAG moved these items to other parts of the control system Its because your car is a different year (Facelift vs Pre Facelift) and again the coding changed |
| If I use and app do I have to pay to use the app to undo the changes | 13 | Yes, the current model is that every time you use an app you have to pay with the credits (dont forget you get 6 free a day) Thus if you turn something on you pay and then you pay again to turn it off. |
