Hi, I also have problems with V488 pump. I replaced the pump with 5Q0965561B made by TOPRAN. Old pump had a sticker with 5Q0121591AB...... but after removal of pump I noticed that 5Q0965561B was permanently written to pump. So should be ok. Before changing the pump I got a lot of fault codes related to it. After changing pump I only get one fault code (code will return very soon after clearing):

================================================ (not total log)
I have measured voltage on pump connector, there are 3 lines S, minus, plus. Turned car electricity on (not running), motor was about 50 degrees celsius. Earth to minus => S-line showed 3,5 V and plus-line >12 V. When connected back to pump it started to run. Pump ran as long as I removed car key.
OBD Live data for that pump shows (3 measurements):
1. Heater support pump 1 bank 1 charg.aircool.circuit, activat. => when engine is a bit warmed up then this stays in 10% for about 2 sec and then about 4 sec about 30-35% when idling. When driving that higher can be longer or varies a lot.
2. Heater support pump 1 bank 1 primary circuit, activation: Stays at 95% all time
3. Heater support pump 1 bank 1, second circuit, activat.: Stays on 10% all time now after pump replace. I think this showed steady 95% earlier.... but not sure.
I have plans to go to measure that live data from unbroken car with same technic (Skoda 2015 2,0 TDI 4wheel). To get comparison to my live values...
I would not like to believe that new pump is broken. Not yet anyway. PDF =>
pics3.tdiclub.com/data/517/820433_EA288.pdf => has following:
Open circuit in signal line • Entry in engine control module event memory • K83 lights up • Pump running at top speed
.....
which seems more like my case. Could this be so that ECU needs some kind of adjustment or refresh before signal to pump is returned to normal?
