Looking at the service manual, it talks about performing a Basic Settings "DCC" reset when something in the suspension is changed (eq. ball joint, springs, etc).
The basic settings screen for the DCC module has three options
* Adapting with deflected wheels * Reset to as-delivered condition of control module manufacturer * Restore vehicle-specific data
Anybody know what these three options do? And which corresponds to performing a dcc reset?
The VCDS forums states to lift the car on the air (so that the suspension is on full droop), then to perform a DCC Basic Settings reset.

Hey
Did you manage to figure this one out? I'm retrofitting DCC shortly and was under the impression only 1 type of basic settings exist. I checked the Erwin manuals on Running Gear_axles_steering, Communication & Electrical System, they only refer to basic settings?
