Hi, I would like to change my MK7 GTi OEM led tails turning light to a sweeping style. Also if the hazards could be used as the Pace-car look. Further interested in getting the tail hazards to flash when hard braking. (available app is not for led tails) Can anyone direct me to how I fix this please? I have the OBD11 Pro since a few days back, so Im a rookie at "long coding". Enjoy your weekends guys! Happy coding!

Happy coding! theory: First thing that you need to know about OEM tails is that the turn signal lamps have just one wire to each of the outer/inner segment (see "Turn Signal - Section 1 and Section 2" in the picture below). So each bank of LEDs is controlled by a single wire to the BCM. The arrangement also means that the individual LEDs inside each segment are physically and electrically connected together (in parallel- I guess), so that they operate as one unit.
Some folk have managed to make their tails "sweep" (see below), but I beleive that this is only possible by dismantling the fitting, re-wiring the individual LEDs with an electronic controller, and then re-assembling the fitting (making sure to get a water-tight seal). But this is not an OBD11 exercise
There are a few tweak instruction on the link below for "pace-car" effects - not sure if this is what you want

Deutsche Auto Parts recently started carrying an adapter harness that will create a sweep like affect. The individual LED's won't sweep, but the 2 sections of the lights will.
Keep in mind that this is different than the alternate blinking (tick-tock timing) style that you can do with OBDeleven.

If you have factory fitted LED lights then to make them flash alternatively you can try this:
Select -> 9 Central Electronik -> Security Access -> 31347 Adaptation -> Channel: (4) Leuchte16BLK SLB35BLK SL KC9-Lichtfunktion A16: Set = Blinken lins Dunkelphase. (Default:Blinken Links Hellphase) Adaptation -> Channel: (4) Leuchte17TFL R BLK SRB3TFL R BLK SR KC3-Lichtfunktion A17: Set = Blinken rechts Dunkelphase. (Default: Blinken rechts Hellphase)
Sorry cant help with the question around using them for hard braking.
Cheers

This is the DAP dongle im talking about. Hopefully its close to what you want:

^^^^^ The DAP dongle looks to be nothing more than a simple electronic time-delay device that takes the signal from the inner turn LEDs and waits a short time before sending this pulse to the outer turn LEDs (plus a couple of sockets). Expensive for what it does- guess value is in the eye of the purchaser!! I'm sure lots of folk here with basic electronic skills and a soldering iron can make a similar device at a fraction of the cost Don

What are the risk? Can I set it back easily? Anyone like to do a demo video? Or could OBDeleven make it an app?

Would you consider make this an APP?

I think its not a coding, its a Hardware thing

In posts below the link/ Video he say its a Hardware thing with opening the taillights make new cables on led and so on
