Hi everyone !
I need some help, i have a Golf 7 FL 1.5 TSI Highline, with led directionnal headlights.
I don't have the Dynamic Light Assist, cause i don't bought the car with the "hight" camera A5, but i should have the basic light assist.
I followed all the steps to do it, but now, i'm stuck. I have the error with the "AFS" on the dashboard, according to the differents tutorials, i need to do a "basic settings" of the headlight
(for now, i have the light assist option, but it doesent works, i have the following error in the 4B multifonction module " headlights : no basic settings")
Finally, when i try to perform a basic settings, i followed this steps :
Basic settings-> "Basic headlamp setting", then Basic settings "Acknowledge basic setting".
But, the basic settings never start, the status is stuck to "not running", i don't no why, maybe it's a bug with obdeleven ?
Can you help me ? I'm so close...
Thank you.

Hello,
Here are the following steps i did:
(09) Central Electrics , adaptations, Fernilchat_ assistent
Menuesteuerung Fernlichtassistent not present, change to present
Erweiterte_Fernlichtsteuerung -> AFS, Fernilcht ueber AFS change to AFS, FLA, Fernlicht ueber AFS
(4B) Multifunction Module
Long coding
Byte 2 - tick bit 0 and bit 1.
That's it.
Thanks a lot.

Sorry to ask this provocantly, but how do you come to the conclusion that Light Assist will work on that car? We are having two control modules in the Golf which are able to switch headlights automatically to highbeam: One is the A5 camera which is equipped with DLA, HCA or TSR. If nothing from this list, no camera. The other one is the photodiode in the rear mirrors fixture (Quite to this one www.motor-talk.de/bilder/-light-assist-nachruesten-moeglich-wenn-ja-wie-g21299024/fernlichtassi-i203435177.html) - which is only equipped with HBA but no Lane Assist and no TSR. Also, this one is not capable of managing DLA. If none of these two modules are installed there is no way of enabling HBA, sorry.

No problem !
I have the second camera ( photo sensor ) with rain sensor, i don't have DLA and lane assist.
So i should have the Light Assist !
Im stuck with the coding inside the 4B Multifunctions unit, i followed this tutorial :
www.ascoding.ch/en/light-assist-high-beam-assist/
But i think i did a mistake , cause i can't do a "basic settings" for the headlight to delete the fault code, i have the "Light assist" option now, but it doesn't work at all.

The rain light sensor is an entire diffent component, not capable of managing any high beam
From my information, you should find a controller at adress 20 in OBD11, which is the camera lookalike in the mirror. It is not directly connected to the windshield like the rain sensor or the A5 camera. I have not found any complete coding guide for the HBA without the A5 camera.

Hello.
you need a frontal camera ever. Without a camera the car can not opérate light assist.
