Has anyone had success enabling indirect tpms? I tried following online guides but can not check byte 17 bit 5 in the comfort module.
Update: To disable the light: Go to Can Gateway Byte 1, Bit 7 uncheck the box and save.

If i understand your response correctly Matthew, you go into module 3 Brakes and select coding and enter the new value of 0004738. I tried this is my MK5 R32 and still had low tire pressure message on my MFD and ABS warning light came on. I am attempting this as the aftermarket wheel on the car cannot accommodate the sensors. any help would be awesome.

Yes, your understanding of what I said is correct. After coding, you have to do an adaptation test drive as this will throw off the steering angle sensor (which will turn off traction control).
You will be left with the TPMS light still ON, which you would simply clear it by holding the button down for about 4-seconds. The ABS and steering warning lights have to be self-cleared first by doing the prescribed test drive. This starts by turning the steering all the way to the left (or right), hold for 10 seconds, turn the other direction, hold for 10 seconds, straigten the wheel, and drive in a straight line for about ~30 meters. After that the lights should clear by themselves (except the TPMS which you would then clear manually by pressing and holding the TPMS button for 4 seconds). Ensure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure first.
