Yes, your understanding of what I said is correct. After coding, you have to do an adaptation test drive as this will throw off the steering angle sensor (which will turn off traction control).

You will be left with the TPMS light still ON, which you would simply clear it by holding the button down for about 4-seconds. The ABS and steering warning lights have to be self-cleared first by doing the prescribed test drive. This starts by turning the steering all the way to the left (or right), hold for 10 seconds, turn the other direction, hold for 10 seconds, straigten the wheel, and drive in a straight line for about ~30 meters. After that the lights should clear by themselves (except the TPMS which you would then clear manually by pressing and holding the TPMS button for 4 seconds).
Ensure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure first.
