I have a 2015 GTI, and I assumed it was default factory programming that the radio unit turns off when the engine start/stop button were pressed to turn the engine off.
Upon taking my car into the dealership for warranty repair recently, I was loaned a 2017 Golf that also had push to start. However, the default behavior if this model was such that one the engine was shut off, the radio didn't turn off until the door was opened.
I want to achieve this via coding with the obdeleven. Has anyone experienced this, or know where the coding would be?

^^^ hmm......... I'm fairly certain (albeit not completely sure) that this aspect of the module @ address hex5F isn't controlled in either the code-string, or the adaptation channel settings. Instead, my suspicion is that the switch-off behavior is determined in the engineering development screen (sometimes called the "green screen").
But a word of warning if you are going to play in this part of the module - make very good notes of any changes because modifications in this part of the module are NOT captured by the History facility in OBD11 software (I think?).

I can't help much more alas, other than to advise (again) to take care with any changes and to make precise notation when/if you do so - it's simply a matter of experimentation
