Just got the OBDeleven few day ago...
Issue 1:
Was trying to set the DLRs to dim on blinker per the instructions on what to set in the adaptation for each light... I cannot get this to work! No changes can be made / coded / saved... "7F, function cannot be performed, incorrect diagnostic mode"
Issue 2:
As for the Rain Closing (the car has the RLFS installed (5Q0955547). All settings that I found were for: - Access control 2, Regenschließen (to Permanent) - Access control 2, Menuesteuerung Regenschließen (to Active) And Long coding Byte 0, Bit 1 and Bit 2...
Could not find the ein_aus or art settings...
Car is an Golf 7 Variant (with Bi-xenon) Model 2014.

Change your diagnostic mode. Issue 2: Do you want to toggle rain closing via MMI?

re issue 1 on each control unit at the bottom you will have a listing that says something like diagnostic sessions It will give you options like OBD-diagnostic mode VW-diagnostic mode End of assembly line mode (EOL) Development mode
Read through the MK7 Thread you will see lots of questions about this, It seems to be lots of hardware does not work, a few do so its a coding against the correct hardware

Yeah, we the "noobs" would be left alone without someone like him
As for the Rain Close. From the spreadsheet on the link he provided there are two setting in Access Control 2 for Regenschliessen "ein_aus" and "art" when using the app there is only one "Regenschliessen" With options for (Once, Permanent) thats the only setting I could find there for rain closing (except the setting for the car infotainment option for ON/OFF)

stop it both of you, if anybody deserves respect its Don, he is the best at both finding this stuff but more importantly shareing and helping people.
Anyway on to work
Coding for the Golf I have is below, I will stress however a lot of people cant get this to work at all and it does seem to be reliant on what sensor you car has if it works or not.
Rain Closing Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access code 31347 Adaptation (15) Access Control 2-Regenschliessen_ein_aus Value: Permanent (16) Access Control 2-Regenschliessen_art Value: Permanent (28) Zugriffskontrolle 2-Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen Value:Aktif Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Subsystem: Rain / Light Sensor (RLS) Byte 0 Bit 1-Bit 2 DeActivate
I don't know what bits 1 and 2 of byte 0 of Central Electronics module do, but certainly do not enable rain closing function. Enabling those bits on RLFS subsystem however does enable that function. Also according to some sources it's required to perform factory reset of the "closing" subsystem via car menu. I did that just to be sure, and now rain closing seems to be working fine.

Will have a look later when I'm home! The install sensor is the RLFS (5Q0955547) the car was manufactured on the end of 2013. Maybe they changed something later at the service centre.
But yesterday I was unable to find those two settings - Regenschliessen_ein_aus - Regenschliessen_art
All thats there is Regenschliessen (without anything added to the word...) And on testing no reset was done in the car menu (setup) maybe this will help... Thanks again and again

Just to report back!
Programming / changing the lights to dim on blinking worked but only in Development mode (Change session) no other mode worked (OBD or VW) Rain closing also worked after resetting (factory reset) mirrors and wipers in car setup... And with only Regenschliessen to "Permanent" (as no settings for "ein_aus" and "art" were found).
Thank you all for helping me sort this out!
