Hello Everyone,
My friend got a 2019 Jetta SEL Premium and I got to mess around with ODBEleven last night. We tested a few apps that they said would work. Some worked, others didn't. The list is below of what worked and what didn't.
Windows function from remote - Worked
Seat Belt Warning -Worked
Refuel Quantity - Worked
Mirror Dip - Worked
Lock/Unlock acoustic confirmation - Worked
High Beam Memory - Worked - We could not get the auto high beam to actually turn on the high beams though
DRL setting in head unit - Worked
Comfort turn signals - Worked after lighting reset
Auto Lock - did not work - not sure if we need to reset anything to get this to work.
Has anyone else had any luck with some other cool changes? Anything we can modify in the virtual Cockpit?

Auto Lock - did not work - not sure if we need to reset anything to get this to work.
But you know how auto lock works right? It locks the car if you're driving faster than 15 km/h. This is working 100% in your car. If you need more information on what is possible click me (Translate if you don't understand german)

Hello everyone! Thanks for the 2019 Jetta tinkerers so far!
I have a new 2019 Jetta SEL Premium wondering if anyone knew where to find the following option:
Almost every video review of the new Jetta with the Virtual Cockpit shows the gear number when in normal drive mode in the center of the tach. For example D1, D2, etc. On the production cars however, this is replaced with just a simple “D” and no number. When you move the gear shifter over to manual mode, there is a M1, M2, etc, but no numbers in either the “Drive” or “Sport” modes, just a “D” or “S.” Since this is clearly visible on almost every YouTube video review out there, I’m assuming that this was an option in the “Pre-production” model. I have scoured the setting screens in the center console and can’t for the life of me find an option to display this gear number. Do any of you gurus know the long coding to get this to display, or where to find and enable this option?
Thanks again!

I know this works on some Passats and I had it on my previous GM vehicle.

Did you try any of the options to allow the access to the Settings/Nav menus while the car is in motion?
I have a 2019 SEL-Premium as well and just ordered my OBDeleven, I used the free trial of caristaapp to do most of what you listed, but am really after allowing access to the menus in motion.

Auto Lock - did not work - not sure if we need to reset anything to get this to work. I was able to get this to work... in another thread, there was a hint that you need to do one more Adaptation. So after Enabling "Auto-Lock" in the App you need to do this: Adaptation Control unit: B7 Access Startsystem Interface Name: internal_passive_entry_exit_byte1 Values: passive_exit_door_slam_lock: Old value: Not activated New value: activated
Once I did that, the auto-lock works! Now if I could only find a way set set a 5-10s delay from when the door closes until it locked. As it is, it locks immediately.

Here are a few mods I did today:
Adaptive cruise control - Allow setting the default follow distance:
Adaptation
Control unit: 13 Adaptive Cruise Control
Name: Distance basic setting option
Values:
Old value: Off
New value: On
This will enable a menu in the "Car" settings menu under "Assistance" that will let you set the default following distance for when you first enable ACC during a drive. You can set it to "last value used" or to a specific distance.
Adaptive cruise control - automatic resume from a stop:
Long coding
Control unit: 13 Adaptive Cruise Control
Values:
Automatic_driveaway_after_short_stop:
Old value: Deactivated
New value: activated
Automatic_driveaway_by_pretrigger:
Old value: Deactivated
New value: activated
This will allow the car to resume motion after the ACC has come to a complete stop as long as it hasn't been stopped for more than a few seconds.
Allow access to settings menus while in motion:
Go into Control unit "5F Information Control Unit", select "Locked menu contents". You will see entries like FB_PHONE_* with most of them set to 'blocked' and some set to 'non_blocked'. Just change all of the values from 'blocked' to 'non-blocked'. In my SEL-Premium, I se FB_PHONE_*, FB_MEDIA_*, FB_MISC_*, FB_CAR_*, and FB_NAV_* . I set them all to 'non_blocked' and I now have access to all menus even when the car is in motion. I don't know what happens if you change values for equipment that doesn't exist

I'm going to take a look at the long coding tonight to see if I can figure anything out. I'll report back if I make any progress.

If the ignition is on when you exit, it will lock the doors but then ignore the key fob and the touch to unlock feature. I had to figure out how to pry the key cover off so I could use the manual key to get back in🤨. Love the self lock but...

I had the same problem with the ignition on Miker, and the doors locking on exit. I found an option called "Enable remote control buttons when ignition is on" Once this is toggled, the keyfob should work to unlock the doors with the ignition on. I'm using caristaapp until I figure out if there is any advantage to ODBeleven over caristaapp.

Mirror dip doesn't work. All it does it go full inward and not tilt. Tried everything, tips, methods... It just goes full inward.
Someone provide a link to what method worked for them?
Thx
Forgot to add, when I try the app method in OBDeleven, it says function not supported, hence why I'm looking for the long code that works.
Edit, seems there is another setting on the passenger door below the mirror lowering about remembering the setting as well. Flipped that toggle and tested, now it remembers the mirror position where I set it when going into park.

Sorry didn't login with my user ID and can't edit...quoting my original.
So the post I follow, makes the other side DRL flash on/off when the turn signal is on. For example, turn on the left turn signal, the Right DRL will go on/off opposite of the signal?
IDK..2019 VW Jetta. Maybe everything doesn't translate. But looking for any ideas to make it work.
Thanks
Well after tons of research, apparently nobody has found the DRL lights, or it is controlled by a different controller as part of the lights themselves. As I said, I can make the other side alternate when flashing on and off, just not the same side. Strange. But nothing so far. Frustrating the lack of support of the 2019 Jetta so far for tweaks.

2019 Jetta Sel-P
Trying to get all the lights to talk to each other. I get the headlight set-up and it messes with the tail light setup. what I'm trying to do with my OBDELEVEN PRO:
Hazard Light activated - All lights blinking (including white backup lights) but not all in phase.
Left Turning - Tagfahrlicht blinking with amber bulb (or opposite opposite phase). Rear - Left amber light with the Left red (both sets) I think there is a third, but I can't find them (right now I have the main LED blinking too)
Right Turning - Same
Normal Driving - Tagfahrlicht and Rear Tagfahrlicht
I've achieved some of these, but I change the rear lights how I want them and the front changes...
Thank you

Hi there,
With your digital dash, where did you find the remaining fuel amount that you added with the app? Asking because i purchased this app also but can't find it anywhere.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

... nevermind - found it!
The 'refuel amount' (in L) is now listed among all the travel data that you can sift through. It did reset itself when i gassed up to a full tank this morning.

Anyone have any luck getting the 'video in motion' to work? Apparently i 'paid' and downloaded it correctly (I use Android Auto) for 100 credits (!) but can't for the life of me figure out how to get any videos (whether YouTube, Netflix or Amazon Prime) to show up on my main screen.
Am I correct in assumign that I have to have my phone plugged in via USB to have this work? If not, should i just let it connect wirelessly via bluetooth?! Regardless, is there a sub menu or anything in the car's settings i have to adjust for anything I play on my cell to show up on the car's centre screen?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Thank you OBDeleven! I appreciate being refunded the 110 credits for the Apps I purchased for my 2019 GLI that did not work (both VIM and Gauge Needle Sweep).
GREAT news is that they say more Apps are coming for this vehicle. Looking forward to seeing them all!

How did you guys get the DRL option to work? The only thing I can find on YouTube says it's an adaptation with BAP in it... But I've got nothing!
