Hi Guys just a quick thread to ask if anybody else has experienced a irreversible language change to German once applying the TV Application. My friend done it yesterday now his mmi and cluster are in German and when I tried applying a change in the language and now it won’t allow the German to be changed to English, he is quite upset as he spent money on tokens to try apply the application. I tried to reverse the app but yet it still has everything in German. Could someone please elaborate why this may be happening. T.I.A Ryan

T.I.A Ryan It looks that you used wrong app, there is two apps one for RMC system and other for MMI system. If vehicle have RMC system and you have used app for MMI then you will need to use "RMC FIX" one click app that will fix issue with language.

Before doing anything, is there a sure-fire way to identify one's RMC/MMI version?
I understand there are some sources on youtube and other VAG forums, but is there a more official channel? Or at least some other source to re-verify?
Would be very useful if the OBDEleven can identify right away the RMC/MMI we have in our cars.
Besides identifying, how about updating the firmware of the RMC/MMI? Would this be possible in the future?
Thank you.
