Hi All,

Firstly thanks for all the codings you share. Its been great and ive managed to get a few extra options working on my car.

I’ve fitted a tow bar and wiring today. It was surprisingly easy (better than any car I’ve fitted a tow bar on before) including delving into the electrics wiring and swapping out CAN wires.

I bought the kit from PF Jones (coding is on page 17)

I hit a bit of a sticking point as I couldn’t find the adaption in 09 - central control, to adaption 10?! but was able to make some of the long code changes to the other modules my car has fitted (skipping the modules I haven’t got). That was until I got to A5 - front sensor modules. I can’t find the “trailer electrics” setting in the long code or anything that has similar words.

Now this is is throwing up faults when I start the car for Pre sense and active lane assist.

Please can anyone help?

Done the same but can’t find any coding for engine control unit 01

Hi,

Sorry only just seen this.

These are the changes I made. As always, please ensure you are comfortable with the coding changes you will be making to your car. Whilst these worked for me, I cannot guarantee they’ll work for you and I am not responsible for that.

First, Activate the trailer control unit: On the page of installed control units, click on the red button in the bottom right and scroll down and check 69 - Trailer. This control unit will now appear on your main list.

Second, you need to activate some of the options within the other control units.
NB. Depending on your car’s specifications you may not have some/all of the options. For the control units you don’t have listed, you can ignore the coding change.

Please take installed/coded/yes as interchangeable.
09 - central electrics (security code 31347)
Long coding: hitch_ecu - change to installed

46 - Central module comfort system
trailer monitoring – change to active
trailer control unit – change to installed

3C - Lane Change Assist
ECU for draw bar – change to with ECU for draw bar
(Or Trailer control unit – change to installed)

17 - Dashboard
Trailer – change to yes

6C - reverse camera system
equipment_ahk/trailer detection – change to installed

74 - chassis control system
Trailer – change to installed

10 or 76 - PDC controller
Trailer – change to trailer device can be removed manually

13 - controller distance control (security code 20103)
Control module for towing sens/Control module for trailer – change to installed

A5 - front sensors driver assistance system
AAG/Trailer electrics – change to coded

6D - boot lid electronics controller
Trailer/controller for trailer – change to installed

Hi Harnejac - ive got an e-tron too and getting a load of errors after coding for the towbar. Did you succeed in sorting your etron?

ive got cross-traffic assist faults
pre-sense restricted
side assist and exit warning system fault.

I couldn't also find the PDC controller.

great if you have any advice!
