Hi All,
Not long got my OBDEleven and loving some of the mods. I do however have a problem with my infotainment screen after trying the carbon mod on the Infotainment screen. Since following these steps my infotainment screen has gone blank. I have tried switching it back and this doesn't seem to have had any affect.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers all.

Scratch that, just took a little while for changing it back to "Skin_1" to take affect, its alive again.
Which begs the question, anyone know why changing to "Skin_3" would have caused it to just go blank?
It's a '14 plate Leon FR if this helps with the 5f navi unit
Cheers

Couple answers to your questions.
Firstly the Leon if famous in cold weather for the infotainment screen to go blank due to the cheap plastic cover they put on it.
Secondly (this is a guess on my part) but the setup of the car is not just for the leon its for many different cars (Golf, Audi, Soda) and therefore sometimes you will see options in the drop down box that relate to items on the Firmware (which OBD11 Cant change) that on your car is not there.
An example of this is you can change the car you see on the car settings menu, on the 2014 car i have it only allows you to have Hatch, Estate or 5 Door, on the Golf of the same age it has the golf and passat variants.
Why did it go blank because you ask it to display something that is not stored on the Firware so it just shows a blank.
As I say this is a guess on my part due to what i have seen on several changes that did and did not work.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have experienced the cold weather issue before, not the screen being blank though, Just randomly changing radio stations etc when it's cold. It's 20+ Celsius here today though so I don't think that's the issue.
I understand what you're saying about the firmware though, this seems the more likely reason in this case. I had 8 skin options (Not sure if this is the same thing everyone else see's) so might just run through the lot and see if for some strange reason it's a different number on mine. Just wanted to check I hadn't missed a step.
I know I should probably start a new thread for this but the other issue I have had it trying to get the acoustic lock/unlock mod working. I saw in the "App" on OBD it said a factory reset may be required, can you clarify what this means? What would I need to Factory reset?
Thanks for your help

ahh good they have updated the narrative.
Factory reset is very easy, just go to the infotainment menu, select car and settings under there you will see at the bottom of the list factory settings.
Just do a full reset and the alarm should work (I found it out because i did the alarm beep months ago and its only after I did a reset it worked).
All this does is turns on the function on the Infotainment (its not a menu item you can see just a programme item). Once you have done this no other changes are impacted just makes it work (on mine anyway)
