Hi all! Today my car has a warning coming up saying service inspection is due in 30 days (since my car was purchased around 30 June 17). It has done only 10,000Km, but in Feb 18 I had a minor service done by my local euro specialist as i requested an oil change at 6000km. Can i change this inspection reminder date via OBD11 to later in the year for example? Thanks!

The Service Reminder Interval (SRI) facility is managed by a bunch of adaptation channels that live in the Dashboard module (@ address hex17).
Access to these channels is via my pictorial instructions below.
So, what happens is that the mileage and time channels that I have shown count up (with each passing day and Km traveled) until they equal the value in the channels called "FIX: Max distance/time until next distance/mileage related inspection". The SRI warning message then triggers on whichever parameter first reaches the maximum distance/time value. The value that is normally entered into the Fix: Maximum time until next time-dependent inspection channel is 365 (i.e 1 year).
The pictorial instructions in my picture show the values to enter into the time/distance channels if you have just completed an oil change. But if you want the SRI warning message to appear on a particular day, just enter: 365 minus the number of days remaining until that day
into the adaptation channel FIX: time since last time-dependent inspection

Hi dv52 (Australia), I followed your instructions and it works thanks....the new service inspection date is now 122 days from now. However, every time i start/turn off the engine, the warning still comes up but now saying "service inspection in 122 days". I thought the warning would only default on when it hits 30 days but clearly not. Is there a way to rid the warning? Thanks again in advance.

Thanks dv52 (Australia) for your prompt fix! I’ll do this tonight....appreciate the help! Cheers 🍻 Hi dv52 (Australia) , I tried the ESI Reset but oddly the warning still remains (and i was sure the adaptation was successful). Strange. Perhaps i need to do the ESI reset and then change the other two parameters (distance covered since last mileage dependent inspection and time since last time dependent inspection) to "0". Then go back and set those two parameters to the desired times/km? Cheers

hmm.......... that is odd - yes, try the reset first, then change the time/distance settings

hmm.......... that is odd - yes, try the reset first, then change the time/distance settings Yes that worked this time... no more warnings 👍 The only thing now is on the service menu in the car settings, it now has the service inspection due at the correct number of days and km, but the oil change says 15000km or 365 days haha! Oh well I can live with that until the next oil change in a few months
