Hello ! I've recently changed the O/S rear door control module on my car and the coding is different from the N/S rear door. It should be 0000144 (automatic run active + 5 door chassis) but is 0000016 (automatic run active). Everything works just fine and I don't get any error codes but it bugs me. When I try to change the coding I get : "function not available" error. Any thoughts ? Thanks !

Can you code the other rear door?
Is that new rear door exactly for your car and construction year?
It also could be a bug in OBDeleven i had that with control unit 09 a few weeks ago.

Yes I can code the other rear door. I tried again and managed to change the coding from 0000016 to 0000080 and 0000088 (adding door handle illumination and door exit/warning light) but I can't add 5 door chassis. I replaced the door module recently, the old one was 1K0 959 704 K, the new one is 1K0 959 704 C. I'm not sure if the old one was the proper one because when I bought the car the rear O/S door was not locking and the window didn't worked. I had to change the loom and the door control module. The new module was bought from eBay and comes from a 5 door mk5 Golf, rear O/S.

The other door is working fine right?
If so check what part number that control unit has.
Have you noticed that the System description of 72 is different ?
I would say you bought the wrong unit.
Please tell me your exact construction year an i'll look for the part number.

It's a 2006 TDI SE. All doors work fine now. The door module was removed from a 2006 also.

Hm the unit should fit your car...strange that it's not accepting your coding.
