I’ve seen in a number of videos and images on the web that the digital dash is capable of displaying album artwork and the radio station logo when in the Audio view. Here is a picture directly from the VW Canada site.  However I have never seen this on my Canadian market Golf R and also don’t see any options to enable this? Does anyone have any experience with this and is there coding that can enable this? |

Maybe depends on what mmi you have, pretty sure it comes up on mine (discover pro)

Thanks, I guess that might be it. I only have the Discover Media, that’s all we get in Canada.
Would be interesting if here is some coding that would allow this even on the lower Discover Media.

I made a short clip 😉 I have a Canadian ‘18 R and I’ve enabled the cover art settings and even though it displays the radio stations that have it, any music from my iPhone the cover shows in the background blurry in the radio, but on the display the music cover art does not show. Could you post your coding from the 5F module?? TIA |

Maybe it only works with hardwired stuff in the car, I’ll have to check

I tried enabling the cover art but it still does not show in the cluster display even though it shows on the infotainment display.
Do you have to reboot infotainment system?
If so how the heck do you reboot it.

Normal reboot is hold the power button for about ten seconds until the unit goes off then back on again with the startup screen

Do I need to reboot for the cover art to display after the changes? If not then not sure why it did not work.

It’s not tube version, it’s display depiction, but it changes the colour to gold

I have only found this in Adaptations/Tube Version/Variant, Default was Variant 1, however changing this to Variant 3 nothing happens. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Or isit in another module (5F)? This is on a Golf GTE MK7.5(FL), with AID Can you be more specific with what to do. Thanks |

Found it. 17 Instruments/Adaptations, DISPLAY DEPICTION Was on Version 1. Default Version 1, and 4 appear to be the same Version 3 is the dots. Keep me amused for awhile  Thanks VWJap. |

Bumping and old thread. Has anyone figured out how to get station/album artwork to show up in a digital dash?
Under 5F, I already have the settings below turned on and I still dont get any artwork (or even a blank square where its supposed to be).

I also tried rebooting my infotainment system multiple times. Searching around, the radio station covers only show up on FM + HD channels and those DO show up on my infotainment system but not the cluster.
Help would be greatly appreciated!
