New Beetle Cabrio (2018)
Wanted to change from headlights to foglights for de the Coming Home / Leaving Home function.
After changing that, the Coming Home function doesn't work anymore.
So I changed it back from foglights to headlights but the Coming Home still doesn't work although the bit is set and the system says it's activated.
Coming Home Module: 9 Long Coding: Byte 10 bit 2
bit 1 is Leaving Home and is also set but some of the other bits of Byte 10 are also set but with no comment. Maybe I made a mistake and activated the wrong bit once (looking through history it doesn't show such an action so it's only a wild guess).
Anybody any idea's?

Dont know your car but if you post your history file for these changes at least we can confirm you have put them back correctly.

ok so as i say don't know your car but if i look at the long coding there are differences Dashboard 17 was Oude waarde: 111B010000 now Nieuwe waarde: 111B230000 so byte 3 has changed from 01 to 23 as I don't know your car is this related in any way. You have changed in Aanpassingen Channel 26, 43, 47 & 48 as I don't know your car are this related in any way. Agreed on 09 Byte 10 is unchanged but 0, 4, 14 are not, are you sure these done impact it. Lastly on my car on the Car Menu under settings you can do a factory reset, I have certainly done this in the past to make changes take affect. Hope this helps if not is there anything under basic settings you can run. And if anybody with a Beetle can help please shout. rec_beetle.xlsx (47.24 KB)

Thx for the heads up Cupra:
Byte 3 in Dashboard 17 (which is actually byte 2 if starting counting from 0) has nothing to do with. It's the personalization bit which does nothing. And I did set it after the problem with the Coming Home function.
Module 9: adaptation: The values for Channels 47 & 48 are the Coming/Leaving Home timers (up from standard 15s to 25s as I did on my Skoda). These also have nothing to do with it because the problem showed before I changed these. Channel 43 is comfort blinking set from 3 to 5 times (works). Channel 26 sets Front Tearwiping active. Byte 0: Central Lock ON on +15 km/h Byte 4: Rain Closing ON Byte 14: Tearwiping ON
I'll check the Factory Reset. I'm a bit worry about using it because it does not explain what the factory reset all resets back. Some stuff might have set for some options to work...

Sorry could not find the issue and school boy error on the Byte number..
Anyway I have done the factory reset on my car a few times now, When I did it the first time I found that my alarm for open and close started to work. So coding had been done ages before but not been working till the reset. I seem to recall what it does is do a reconnect to all the various parts so they communicate.
There is also a Resetting of all adaptation values in basic settings on my car that does a simular thing (in that it connects everything up again)
Lastly have you done a scan to see if there are any errors.
