Dev team,
I have been speaking with a number of users and am raising this request on there behalf.
Over the last release cycle we have had some bug fixes and improvements but also some degradation to the software that has meant if is not usable for some people.
Would it be possible going forward to have an old Static version that people could re-install so they can carry on using the tool whilst you guys get round to fixing the bugs.
Fully appreciate the number of cars / phones/ Setups you have to support mean you will never be able to fully test a release.
But if there were a old version we can manually download and use then at least we would be able to use it.
Thanks in advance, dont expect this to be done quickly but would appreciate if you could add this into your plans.

This is a great idea. In addition to having older/working versions available I suggest new releases and/or fixes should be posted to the Beta Testers forum. This will give testers a chance to properly test new code before it gets released. I know it's not a perfect world. Bugs will always find their way into software especially with all the platforms & Operating System versions being used. Any help will be appreciated. TIA, Tom

Yes, it is good to test software changes before releasing to public release. This is why we are using the beta channel. But the problem is that in the beta channel there are not as much user to test as more as possible. So once we saw that no major problems comes from beta, we do a public release. And here comes problems as much more mobile devices are used with different Android versions, also much more vehicles connected with their specifics. Once we release a public version there is no way to roll back the version due to security concerns.

Martynas, firstly I will say thanks very much for replying and being much more visible on the forum this is a big improvement and much appreciated.
Understand the Beta issues and the fact that you are supporting a huge range of cars / countries / communication devices and protocols and in general you all do a great job.
However I am not sure I understand the security concern, And in any event even if the old version is less secure than the new one at least the users who are impacted would be able to carry on using the tool rather than at the moment doing nothing - and you can put in a health warning to people who use the old version.
Dont expect a roll back version today but it would be a good thing going forward for the very reasons you mention about beta testers that there was a way to stay on the old version. If its not possible then we have to live with it but this would help a lot of people over the last couple releases.

Hi Martynas, I am also unclear as to the security issue. Please explain it to us. Thanks, Tom
