Yes it can be done in long coding and adaptions
Lock/Unlock Sound
[09] Central Electronics Select - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SIGNALS
Select ACTIVE for Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegen if you want acoustic feedback for unlock Select YES for Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln if you want acoustic feedback for lock Select ACTIVE for Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung (Acoustic lock menu)
In-car procedure: Press the CAR button on the RHS of the infotainment screen Select SETUP on the bottom RHS of the screen (looks like a cog) Select Opening & closing panel Place a tick in Acoustic confirmation box. The facility can be turned ON/OFF via this switch
Also set Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn Set this channel to active and the car horn is used - not active and the alarm siren is used
Stolen from DV52 😁
And remember not all cars have alarms so if it doesn’t work it could be you need to set to horn

Sorry I didn't see that you wrote it. "Also set Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn Set this channel to active and the car horn is used - not active and the alarm siren is used"

Dear vwjap,
thank you for your instructions. it works fine :-)
my first "obdeleven" coding was a success :-)
i followed every step. At the end I was asked to enter a login code.
i saw 5 different codes in a list and i have chosen the first one.
is everything correct?

Hi how are you? I have a problem with lock/unlock nose. I made the modification with obdeleven app and nathing changes. Anyone can modifcate it? Thanks! Same issue but I've tried more solutions. * I used the App first and it was acknowledged, but no sound on lock/unlock. * read up on long coding atried that:
* checked I have alarm siren fitted by locking myself in car and moving around - alarm went off * then followed INSTRUCTIONS:
Select Central Electrics (@ address Hex09) Select Security Access and enter the magic number 31347 Select Adaptations and search for Acknowledgement signals Select yes for Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln if you want acoustic feedback for unlock Select yes for Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln if you want acoustic feedback for lock Select active for Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung (Acoustic lock menu) Shut-down OBD11 software and remove dongle -cycle ignition key and proceed to step 8.
In-car procedure: Press the CAR button on the RHS of the infotainment screen Select SETUP on the bottom RHS of the screen (looks like a cog) Select Opening & closing panel Place a tick in Acoustic confirmation box. The facility can be turned ON/OFF via this switch
* however no option appears on the in-car menu under Opening & Closing (and obviously still also no sound on lock/unlock)
Any suggestions?

Hi how are you? I have a problem with lock/unlock nose. I made the modification with obdeleven app and nathing changes. Anyone can modifcate it? Thanks! I have the same issue with using the default-app. Then i followed the instructions below and managed to get the Locking sound to work, but the unlocking sound is not working. Checked and double checked all values under Adaptations according to the instructions, all correctly set but still - UNLOCK without sound confirmation. So I check what is showing in LONG CODING, and the values of Locking vs. Unlocking in screenshot below, hope someone could confirm their working values to see if the default app has changed the any values that may invalid the unlocking sound, [09] Central Electronics Select - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SIGNALS Select ACTIVE for Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegen if you want acoustic feedback for unlock Select YES for Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln if you want acoustic feedback for lock Select ACTIVE for Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung (Acoustic lock menu) In-car procedure: Press the CAR button on the RHS of the infotainment screen Select SETUP on the bottom RHS of the screen (looks like a cog) Select Opening & closing panel Place a tick in Acoustic confirmation box. The facility can be turned ON/OFF via this switch Also set Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn Set this channel to active and the car horn is used - not active and the alarm siren is used Regards, ak

AK: Don't you have a MY19 mk7.5? If so, how is it that your hex09 module has a non-zero long code?

AK: Don't you have a MY19 mk7.5? If so, how is it that your hex09 module has a non-zero long code? Don hi Don, Not sure that i understand your query about long-code "hex09 module has a non-zero long code" - what does it mean? sorry about my limited knowledge. I have a Dec 2019 plate, which is showing as MY20 i think according to OBD11 auto-detection of my car. First i used the app to activate the horn feature, which did not work in the first instance. Then i followed the instruction provided here and got the Locking horn working (menu is active). But for some reason the Unlocking is not working. So i figured, may be the app has screwed up the long-coding on my car, hence i provided the screenshot to see if someone can point it out. Hopefully, you may be able to spot the issue. thanks, ak.

May be i will try to see if i could change the profile of the car to MY19. Am I on the right path? thanks ak.

ak: My apology for creating confusion - the fault was entirely mine; sometimes I don't explain stuff properly (mostly when I'm in a hurry)
What I should have explained properly was that around 2016, VW made changes to the central electrics module on the then mk7 cars. Before 2016, these modules had an actual long -code string (meaning that the module had lots of Bytes of data in long code) and when using the Coding option in OBD11, the user would get screens like the one that you posted in the acknowledgement signals post.
However, after 2016, VW transferred all of the stuff that previously was in long-code to adaptation channels in the hex09 module and devices like OBD11 started to report a string of zeros in long code, or in some modules - there was nothing reported at all in long code
Your car is much newer than MY16 - so I'm surprised that it has a non-zero long code string like in your picture.
So - if you look at your long-code picture, notice that the long-code is mostly a string of zeros and Byte 5 in your picture does have a value of hex00 too. But, the previous Byte (i.e. Byte 4) on the top line has the value hexE0 - how is this possible since your Central electrics module doesn't use long code (because its from a post MY16 vehicle)?
Without intending any offense, I suspect that someone has forced the value hexE0 into Byte 4 - maybe?
Anyhow, bottom-line - I suggest that you forget any notion of considering the impact of long code on your tweak - because your module doesn't use long code software switches (I have no idea why OBD11 is reporting the Bit descriptors in your picture for your model BCM)

I think OBD11 app has forced the value hexE0 into Byte 4, is it ok reset it back non-zero state? and what value should i change it to? Please see screenshot for Byte 4. OR just ignore that because it does not have any impacts. Also, what can i do to get the unlock to work, it is not a big deal, but just curious about why it is not working for me, or this is a common issue for all MY2020 model. I checked the Car profile, and Year = "2020" is not editable, it is reading the value of the VIN, so this means the App is not suitable for My2020. Regards, ak

^^^^ ak:hmm.......... something real odd with your hex09 long code string - your latest picture shows that Byte 0 has a value = hex80!!
So - your MY19 central electrics module appears to have 2 x non-zero Bytes and the rest are all zero (of those Bytes that I can see in your pictures). That's really strange!! Do you have a record of the long code value for the hex09 module from when the car was new? Perhaps look in your History file? As for your problem with the sound when unlock - what is the value of the channel below in the hex09 module: Acknowledgement signals-Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln
