Hello, I have a Golf 7.5 FL GTD and I have a discover media 2 system. I saw the voice controls button on my steering wheel but it does not work because it says to get the activation code with the VW Dealer. My question is: Is there a way to activate the voice controls via OBD? Is the 5F Module > Byte 24 > Bit 1 (Check it if it is unchecked) still working?

I purchased voice control code from VW (00070200 SDS for Nav) Entered it but now MIB2 says "Managing voice control is not available". Do I need to code it/adapt it somewhere?

inovator : As vwjap says, Voice Control is SWAP (Software as Product) which means that it needs a special authorisation that's tailored to your car's VIN (called a FEC).
If you have purchased and installed the license into the car - you will need to tell the MIB to start using the feature. To do this, go to the hex5F module - then select Long coding - then set Byte 24, Bit 1=1 - then reset the MIB (hold-down the ON/OFF switch until the unit turns-OFF, then turns-ON again)-then cycle the ignition key.
