The obd eleven kit connected well with the car for a while detected faulty codes. But when I tried connecting a recently it didn't connect to it. It showed device not responding. I thought it was a faulty device. But today I tried scanning my friends Octavia and it worked fine. So I guess there is some problem with connecting to my car. Any idea what are the possible issues that could result this. Any help would be really appreciated
Thank you

Couple obvious things to check.
1/ Do you have a good internet connection, You don't get an error message but nothing happens.
2/ Just like a pc reboot have you tried clearing your app data and or bluetooth data
3/ Do you have the ability to hide your cars bluetooth connection (some have reported this causes the dongle to be hidden.
4/ Have you checked the dongle to make sure its flashing so you know its alive on your car

1. Yes I have a good internet connection. 2. I clean my app data regularly, to keep my phone optimized 3. I can view the dongle when I connect it to my friends car and run diagnostics but when I connect it to my car there is a problem. 4.yes the dongle flashes green and orange
I'm sorry I don't think i explained the problem properly, I don't think there is a problem with my dongle or the connection to my phone, cause it works fine when connected to another car.
My car radio is shifted to safe mode, and the functions on my steering wheel are not working. I guess there is some issue with the cars computer. Was wondering if anyone had an idea what was causing it. I think it's the same reason why the obdeleven isn't able to communicate with the car.
