I have a 2017 GTI SE. Added my VIN and OBDeleven says its a Club Sport S. I don't know if that is a problem so I edited it but as soon as I connect it changes it back. I am unable to do the hatch pop, change the comfort blinkers, windows up and down with remote, and a few others. It tells me not supported! I was able to do urban joke Drls on with turn signal, and door lock then key is outside vehicle.
I want to add the hatch pop kit, change the blinkers and open and close my windows with my remote. Any suggestions? I emailed ODBeleven for support and they were like thanks for contacting us check out the forums...so here I am any support would be awesome!

contact support via the online help system in the app. If the car is incorrect they are the only ones who can change it from memory

Is that the reason my apps are not working?

don't know I am afraid i am like you just a user but it would be logical that if you have the wrong car setup against your vin (and i have seen this error before but you should know these are list's provided by other people so there can be errors) then the app that is trying to make the change wont work on your car because the setup is different.
As I say drop support a line and explain your vin and car dont match reality and they can change it.

^^^ I totally agree with Ron's (cupra280) excellent suggestion, but to add a further piece of advice, I suspect that there might be subtle differences between the coding in your car and the coding that the App assumes to be in your car.
Not sure if you are aware, but there appear to be 2 x parts in OBD11 Apps: the first-part is a check process that confirms that the channels/code that the App will change is as the developers understood to be the factory values. The second-part of the App is the actual process of changing these channels/code. The App won't proceed to the second-part unless the first-part is fully confirmed for all changes that are to be made.
I never use Apps!! My suggestion is that you use the search facility in this forum to find the instructions to do these tweaks manually. Save your credits for the more complex tweaks. You will learn much more by manually implementing the changes -and if you make an error, then the learning experience will be further enhanced as you go through the process of finding the fix. You will find lots of folk here that will help you through the process!!

dv52...so if I upgrade to the PRO account, I will be able to just skip the apps and do the long coding and it will work? I was on the fence and if the apps didn't work I assumed that the long coding wouldn't work either. However, it sounds like what you are saying is that is not the case. Thanks for the feedback. The help desk if you will on the app has not gotten back to me.
