Hi I have passat B7 2013 with Lane assist and Traffic sign recognition.
When I bought the car it had preinstalled Western Europe map, and the traffic sign recognition worked normally. Once I upgraded the maps to Eastern Europe, the Traffic sign recognition stopped working. I also don't have the option to activate speed limitations in Navigation menu. Somewhere I read that in order to make Navigation Speed limitatrions work Traffic sign recognition needs to be disabled.
Any help appreciated.

Hi, i upgraded my western europe maps to V13 via SD card, lost radio info and navigation in the MFD, also sign assist stoped working.
was able to long code in navigation so now radio and navi is visible in MFD again.
but still no sign assist :-(

I get the message that traffic signs are currently limited or something. Is there a cure for that.I also have the latest version of maps..

Hi, I have a B7 2015 with A5 camera, DLA and Lane activated, but no navi. I have been searching a lot about this and can't seem to find a straight answer, is it possible to activate TSR with only the RCD510 unit? I have found these options and tested without success:   It just feels like it should be possible to activate it in limited mode, what the camera sees I get on the dash, nothing more than that? Any insight is much appreciated!

Hi,
I have a 2014 Passat Europe. I just swapped the RNS310 for a RCD330 plus (noname), I wanted to have Apple Play and the bigger screen. Since swapping out, the Sign Assist no longer works and the dash says Sign Assist Error. I assume this is because it lost the navigation feature.
Reading this thread it looks as if I need to have a RNS system for Sign Assist to work? So the RCD330 wont let the sign assist work? This is a bummer since I looked for a car with this feature specifically since I'm new in Germany and would like help on the ever changing speed limits here to avoid tickets. So if this won't work now, I need to choose between Car Play and Sign Assist? There is not a way to program to use just the camera information? Is there a RNS system with Apple Car Play that I should have purchased? Is there a module that I can load the maps on and plug into the GPS antenna and just not display the information on a screen?
Any help would be great since I would love to have both features working.

You can only use one RNS 315 or RNS510 with the camera. Alternatively, change the camera to a 3Q0 and install the Discover Media for this, then the traffic sign recognition works again. Everything else doesn't work. Greetings from Germany  |

So the only way to have both in this car is to replace the camera and get a MIB radio? This is disappointing. Is there any after market radio that will work with this camera and have carplay?

Exactly. Swap camera and radio (on Discover Media). The only way to get traffic sign recognition to work with Car Play

I lost traffic sign recognintion in MFD after som long coding with DLA. Does anyone know how to code it back? Lane assist still works.
