Hi,
I am trying to level my ASF headlights after having change the height of my coilover, but i seem to be a little confuse on how to do it. 2018 Sportwagen with the ASF factory equiped.
I went into central electric and tried to use headlamp basic setting, but it says (22) requirment not meant (or something like that).
I then tried into multifunction module. I went into headlamp basic setting, and clicked on the green button. There was a message saying basic setting was accepted or started (can not remember). I then went into acknowledge setting and clicked on the green button. Same message, acknowledge setting started.
Then thing is, i have no clue it if worked or not. How can i tell if my headlights are now level? Did i even use the right method? I tried it a second time while being out of the car to look at the headlights, but they did not move. I am guessing i should have take a mesure of the headlights height first?
Thank you Vincent

Vincent: Hi.
Below is the procedure for calibrating the "true-horizontal" setting on the hex55 module - it's a 2 x part process: Important: Make sure the car is fully settled on its suspension and that the vehicle is on level ground
Procedure 1
- Select the module that controls the range for the headlight fittings (at address 55 on the CAN network)
- Select Basic Settings
- Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedure
- This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in your case go to the next step
- Wait a period of time (suggest 10 seconds)- then stop the procedure
Procedure 2 (still in Basic Settings)
- Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedure
- The reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the module
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
- Back-out of the module, clear any error codes and exit OBD11 software (don't forget to disconnect the OBD11 dongle)
So, the procedure above stores the coordinates for horizontal ground into the 55 module. If the procedure completes correctly with NO errors - it is reasonable to assume that it has worked IMO.
I'm not sure, but if there is a way of positively confirming that the calibration setting - I would expect that it will be in Live data, or Output test in the 55 module. Why not have a look?
