Hi, I wonder is there a way of having the start/stop remember it last state for when you start the car again. I don't hate the start/stop but I would prefer to turn it on rather then off every time.

Like you - I utterly detest SS with a vengeance!! My long-held belief is that it's the most dangerous facility in the car - particularly when the driver is completing a turn against on-coming traffic!!
It was possible to disable SS via coding in early model MQB platform cars - like the Golf mk7. However, fundamental changes were made to the design of SS with the introduction of the Golf mk7.5 that resulted in making these tweaks obsolete.
AFAIK, the ONLY way to get your wants on a Golf mk7.5 is to install a physical electronic device that automatically switches the SS disable button on the center console. These "SS auto kill switches" are not difficult to install and there are versions that have a memory function that retains the SS status from the previous ignition cycle
Look on Aliexpress, or eBay (or Google)

Hi Don. Thanks for the reply. I'll look in to the kill switch and see what I can find. I'm only recently after getting a my19.5 from japan, I'm in Ireland by the way and new to all this coding and obdeleven stuff but I have turned on a few things like drl with Scandinavian lights and few other things aswell that I saw in the pinned post and all worked great but I'm having trouble with the traffic sign recognition. I reverted all the settings I changed to clear the fault but I will have another go at it soon, so expect to here from me again soon😂

Ali express for like £5-10, just plug it in to original Hanes’s then into the stop/start button housing connector, took me about 5 minutes (even less but I know how my car comes appart)
