I hope someone can help with the issue, that started about 3 weeks ago.
My leaving home light doesn’t come on, when I unlock the car when its dark outside, sometimes after I have been driving a little trip maybe 5-10km and I park the car and open the door coming light are always working, it’s been adapted in OBDeleven so I don’t have to press light stalk forward every time I leaving the car.
Been searching but can’t seem to find a solution to my problem.
It’s only the “leaving home” that many times does not work, I noticed sometimes LH comes on when it’s light outside, so am really confused about what’s going on right now with the LH light, it’s should work when it dark outside.
I hope someone can guide me in the right direction

I'm not sure what the cause is for the odd LH behavior - but as a very uninformed suggestion, maybe start by checking that the LH adaptation channels listed below are properly coded in the central electrics module:
Außenlicht_uebergreifend: Leaving-Home Verbausstatus > enabled Leaving-home Freischaltung per BAP > active Menueeinstellung Leaving-home Zeit per BAP > LH ON-time(seconds)

Hey DV52
I have checked the settings in OBDeleven, and the first 2 settings are both enabled/active, the last settings is on 10 seconds, it’s goes from “not active to 90 seconds. For the last 2-3days it’s haven’t giving problems, but today it started again with some times it’s working and sometimes not, as of right now it’s not lighting up the LH, I live in Denmark, and it’s very dark here already at 16.00 a clock, I don’t know how to post photos here, so I can’t upload screen shots of my settings in OBDeleven, Thanks again for helping me, because you have helped me before on golfmk7 I think

karakanm: hmm......... OK - intermittent problems are the most difficult to diagnose. How about the following 09 channel: - Außenlicht_uebergreifend-Coming Home Leuchten
In addition to the Außenlicht_uebergreifend channel group, the Leuchte-set for the particular lamps that use CH/LH must also be properly set-up for the function to operate correctly. If you post-up the Leuchte-sets for the problematic lamps, I'll take a look So, there are 2 x ways to include pictures on this forum: - Post the pictures on a third-party hosting web-site (like Imgur/Photobucket etc) and include a URL link to the picture in your forum post)
- Use the forum facility shown in my screenshot below. if you are using a mobile phone to access this forum - first select Desktop mode.

Hey again DV52 I have these screenshot from the settings: I hope that you can see something here, that maybe isn’t set right, because it’s working and then not working, and it’s only the LH that’s giving issues, never CH it just works all the time. I was thinking maybe the sensor in the front windscreen was maybe broken/faulty, but wouldn’t that not also give problem with the CH? There is absolutely no problem with CH at all, it’s only the LH light, and there is also not a pattern in when it’s not working, yesterday morning at 06.00 a clock in the morning it was not working and it’s completely dark outside, this morning same time it’s working, so am really lost at what’s going on with the light! I haven’t been messing with any settings at all, i have checked my battery in the car and its in fine condition, and there is no error lights in the dash and the multimedia, my wife has a e-golf, and I tried to connect to her car with OBDeleven to see her settings, but I can’t find comfort illuminating settings in her car, was thinking I could set my settings exactly like in her car. But think the name for CH/LH is called something else in e-golf.

Your screenshots look OK to me.
As for your question about the light sensor - if it was faulty, there would be an error message on your SCAN report (I assume that this has not happened). And NO, the CH function doesn't use the light sensor. Which physical lamps on the headlight fittings are used on this car for the LH/CH functions - maybe the problem is caused by the Leuchte-set programming? For your wife's E-Golf - search for Außenlicht_uebergreifend in the 09 module instead of Comfort illumination. The E-Golf uses a different central electrics module

I have made a scan report and there is no errors on 09 central electronics, and I don’t know what physical headlight there is on my car or I don’t know the name for them, do you know where to look for the leuchte set programming, I can screenshot it and send them if you want it. Do you think that maybe my 12volt is causing this?
I read somewhere in a forum someone had similar problems like me with there LH light and in that case it was the 12 volts battery, do you know how to test it so I can see if it’s the battery that doesn’t have so much life left in it.
of course now I can’t seem to find that forum anymore
when the car is powered on, it’s on 14.90v and when I power off the car it on 12.30v. this is the information I can see on the digital instrument cluster (Aliexpress edition)
Today I had to wait 5 minutes for my wife to buy groceries and in the time and had power on the car but car was not started, I think in English they call it “acc” mode, and when I had to start the start the car it struggled to start but it did start, so now am thinking maybe it’s the 12v battery that’s causing this strange behavior with the LH lights?!?
What do you think, could this be the case?

karakanm : OK - let's start this reply by talking about Luechte-sets! Each of the 35 x exterior lamps on this car is controlled by a separate "Leuchte-set". So, there are 35 x Leuchte-sets that live in the central electrics module. A Leuchte-set is a group of 16 x adaptation channels and each Leuchte-set starts with the word "Leuchte". Here is an example of the Leuchte-set Leuchte20BR LA71 - which controls the left-side brake-light lamp (notice the 16 x channel structure)
I suggest that you search for "Leuchte" in Adaptations on the central electrics module to see the 35 Leuchte-sets on this car.
Without making this reply a master-class on Leuchte-sets -when one or more lamps on this car operate as CH/LH - the Leuchte-set for those lamps must contain the Leuchte-command for the CH/LH light function. This requirement is additional to the Comfort Illumination channels in the screenshots that you posted in an earlier rely. However, even if the CH/LH Leuchte-command is included in the lamp's Leuchte-set, the operation of the lighting-function can be impacted by the coding on the other 15 x channels.
This is the reason why I have asked you to identify which headlight lamps are used for CH/LH on this car. If you identify the headlight lamp, I can tell you which Leuchte-set to post-up and we can check if the Leuchte-programming for the lamp is correct.
Of course I can't guarantee that an incorrectly coded Leuchte-set is the cause of this problem - but it's worth a shot IMO! But you don't need to post-up a screenshot of the headlights - just tell me the normal lighting-function(s) of the headlight LH lamps that operate intermittently
OK - lets move-on to your question about the health of the battery on this car. First, we need to understand that not all multi-meters are created equal and the results of voltage measurement in the harsh environment of a car are ALWAYS subject to where the meter leads are connected.
"when the car is powered on, it’s on 14.90v and when I power off the car it on 12.30v"
A charging voltage of 14.9V with the engine running is OK. A healthy battery with NO LOAD will be about 12.6V -> 12.4V after engine-OFF - but when connected to a car, the range can extend to about 12.6V -> 12.2V depending on the load.
So, based solely on the readings provided and with the important caveats about meter accuracy and meter-lead placement - it's not obvious (to me) that you should throw money at new battery.
