Hi, I have a newly acquired OBD11 and when I try to access the security tab in pretty much any module and insert the 31347 as the code it will not accept. Annoying to say the least as it makes the OBD11 virtually useless for all but the simplest of tweaks. Is there a way to find out what my code is? 2014 NMS Passat TDI Highline. Every search indicates 31347 is the code but it is not for mine.

Dont know your car so cant help with the specifics but on a general note i personally never enter the security tab before coding, I do the coding and then if a security code is required then the system will bring a popup box to enter the code. Where the system knows a code or codes it will show you.
I can only suggest that you try some coding and see if it works that way.

I can get into long coding no problem but "adaptation" asks for a code. Can't see a way around that if the code instructions reflect I have to go that way

ok sorry cant help anymore, on my car you go into adaptions, make your changes and then (and on mine its not very often) if a code is required it will ask for one..
Have you looked at the VCDS site to see if there are any codes there for your car.

you are probably asked to put some "channel code" in. If you don't mind, make a screenshot from what are you trying to access and post it here, so we can take a look and have a better picture. Then may be someone will chime with good tips.

You do know only certain modules need codes? And these codes are different for every module that needs one So the code your using is for the central electronics only what tweak are you trying to do?

Well, I want to have my seat heaters stay on the last setting, I cant find that anywhere in central electronics and I would like the "coming home" feature work but cant seem to do that. It is turned on in the display in the dash and I have turned it on in the central electronics long coding but it does not work as it should. My 2012 had this but this 2014 does not seem to. I know they have taken away the rain and light sensor but not sure how this would not allow the coming home not to work.

I think you have to have your lights on auto and before you get out the car you have to flash the lights

Did anyone ever found a solution for the security code 31347 that doesn't work? I have been searching through many different VCDS ams Ross Tech forums, tried several alternative codes, but not a single security code is accepted.
