Hi,
I was playing with the headlights and I changed the following:
(55) Headlight regulation
Adaptation
Active left/right-hand drive switch-over
Not Active -> Active
After that, the LED lights came down and up and a message appears on the dashboard saying something like "Lights configured for left-hand drive car"
Then I changed it back, but no message appeared. And a few seconds later a got an error Headlight regulation malfunction (on dashboard and in OBD as well) and I can not delete it after the scan. I got all changes back but the error is still appearing. I delete it with OBD, the lights go down and up (as they do when you start the car) and the error appears again.
Any help?
Thanks

I had a play with this setting a while ago and like you I got the warning saying you had switched lights over but it did not appear to do anything. When I went back in to reset it I got an error and it would not let me change it back. I then Had to reboot phone and re insert the OBD11 Dongle then it let me change it back again but after that I got no error. First thing I would do if it were my car is double check in your history that the change back has worked. If it did work then I would have a look in the Basic settings area as I am sure there will be something here that allows you to reset the lights. Also worth a check against the actual error code to see if anybody else has had a fix for it. But before you do any changes have a google or on here to see if anybody knows the correct procedure for resetting the lights (I do not I am afraid.) Hope that helps. ps just seen this thread on the Golf Forum obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/434/headlight-adjustment

Thank you for your help. I managed to solve this with this: It seems that the adaptation “Active left/right hand drive switchover” is some sort of a special function, which when you enable it changes automatically the car lights for left or right-hand drive car. So fisrt I activate it once more to change the lights back to left-hand drive (I am from CZ), then I tried to delete the error via OBD but it did not work. The error appeared again. So I followed your advice and reset the basic settings and the error message disappeared from the dashboard. Then I delete the error via OBD and everything was alright. No error and lights are working correctly. I am never messing with this again Thank you for your help
