Hi ๐
I was using my eleven to change my car SuperB a little at Friday, when I was finished I donโt take out the hardware from my car ๐ and I got a perfect alarm ๐จ in my application PERFECT !!
But I leaving it connected in my car, because no risking of stealing here...
Today when I was supposed to drive.. there was no more battery power left, even to open my doors :-(
Could it be the OBDeleven device ?
The car is two years about 10 days, therefore I need a answer before the warranty expires ;-)

Could it be the OBDeleven device ? No. The device itself consumes only about 45 mA or 100 mA if I recall correctly. This has no effect on your battery life whatsoever. My device is permanently left plugged in with no issues. If you leave certain tests running such as the bass speaker output test or the footwell lights and auxiliary heater, then that will drain your battery. The important thing to remember is to ensure that each "output test" actually completes before you close the application or else the test could still be running and the battery gets drained. On my MK5 Golf, I can do an output test on the radiator / airconditioning fan, and the output test still runs if I quit the app with the test till running. I'd recommend that you do a load / capacity test on your battery for good measure.

I just changed hardware from OBD 1 to OBD 2, Used to leave my ODB eleven 1 connected to my 2011 RS5 with no problems draining battery.
Yesterday I used the ODB eleven 2 for first time with iphone, ran all test, everything fine. Left the divise installed.
Today the battery had 3 volts only.

dzanino : hmm........ U112300 is one of those non-specific error codes that means that there has been a communication system failure recorded by a particular module (or group of modules). If you leave the OBD11 dongle plugged into the car's OBD port and it's not left in the connect state (meaning that the red light pulses), it's difficult to see how the error message is related to the diagnostic device.
The existence of the recurring error does need further attention IMO - if this was my car, I would unplug the OBD11 dongle and drive the car for a period of time to confirm (or not) whether the error re-appears. If the error still happens, treat it like a real error that warrants further investigation
