Working on an Audi A6 Avant (S-Line), build 2015.
Wanted to set the VIM (Video In Motion) but when we try the app MMI 3G/3GP VIM we get a "not supported message".
Doing so directly via the module 5F through the advanced settings, entering the security code, online generated unlock code and the value for speed results in the same message.
Why does it work with some cars and why not with others?
Is this country related?
On a side note, setting comfort bliking for when changing lanes doesn't work either (module 09), same message.
Other stuff just works fine, also in module 09.

Got this working now, error in de VIN database.
Garage entry showed wrong vehicle, after support changed the corresponding VIN in de database, this option now works.

Hello , same issue with Audi A5, build 2009 (B8 model). Car had the MMI 3G (non video capable) which i changed with Alpine X701D-A5 stereo system (video capable).

Yes, your MMI is not capable for VIM because you can't play DVD's. I am having the same issue as the OP where we can play DVD's, just not in motion... |

Hmm, OP, my vehicle was built 6/16, and my vin matching whats in the app. I have a A6 p+ s-line. I confirmed that my vehicle does support playback as I watched a movie for 5 minutes.

Hi m8, got same problem as you had. I have 2015 Q3 with MMI 3G PLUS and also have message "not supported" in VIM app I can playback videos with my car standing. Have OBDeleven PRO app and would like to activate VIM. Hope someone from staff can help me. THX...... |

I had "unsopported" unit yesterday on A6 FL 2015 with MIB MHI2 and A8 2020 MIB3 4M2035070.
Looks like this application starts to be useless. |

Hi,the same here,2015 A6 3.0tdi cannot do VIM unlock,says not supported,non of options related to MMI are supported...
