Hi, I have 2016 GTI S. I have been trying to use the security code 20103 for the Dashboard (17 Instruments) Adaptions and it is not working. I am trying to change the setting for when the Ice warning comes on. Is there a different security code for this module for the 2016 GTI or another way to change it through long coding? I also wanted to change the calibration on the fuel gauge needle. Thanks.

Thanks. jdogbyo: Unfortunately the security code 20103 became obsolete for MY16 mk7's (for the "dashboard" control module at address Hex17). Equally unfortunately, I don't beleive that anyone has yet found its replacement code. I cold-polled the module on my car (which is MY13) for all the numbers from 00000 to 65000 and the only two successful codes were 20103 and 25327. I understand that neither of these two numbers work on a MY16 module.

Hello DV52, Any recent news on this code? The temperature went below 39F this morning and reminded me how annoying this alert is!

my car(MY17) could not be accessed with this code(20103 and 25327) I tried login finder, but it was said that the code is different.
Does anyone know the new code?

Don Hey Don! It seems some access codes are not working on '16+ cars. Do you know anyway to brute force every possible access code via the obd11? I volunteer to run it on my MY2017 (NAR) GTI. My guess is a vag com/pc would be required. I also have my feelers out to a colleague who works on CAN BUS and will report back to this thread with a new password master list if im successful

I have already amassed a few HERE, but I'm keen to add more As for "bute forcing" codes into a control module, there are two devices that I have used for this purpose. A VCP cable can do this and this cable was used when I discovered the 25327 code for the dashboard module. But be aware that access codes are (currently) a 5 x digit number, hence there are 99,999 different permutations possible. So brute-force takes a long time - from my experience 12 hrs of continuous polling is needed to test all possible combination of numbers (obviously with a good battery charger). The other point about brute-force that's worth remembering is that if you enter a wrong code into a module, it will shut-out any further attempts for a period of time (10-20 minutes). So to use force-polling, you must first "open" the module. To do this with force polling, you need to first enter a valid code: only when the module has accepted this valid code, subsequent forced-polling can occur. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a known valid code for Dashboard modules post MY16 (but you could try 25327- if you want) The second device that can force-poll a module is OBD11 - but I have never had any success with this feature. Here's a video of how it's done Don
