Hi. Most of the annoying part of owning a VW product in finland is that they code rear light on with DRL, it's probably called scandinavian drl in USA.
Now, I would like to code them off, so that when running at bright sunny day, the only light that are on, are front DRL.
I tried this, because I thought I could just turn them from ACTIVE to DISABLED, I also tried the app:
1. Select Central electrics (module @ address hex09)
2. Select security access
3. Enter the magic number 31347
4. Select Adaptation
5. Search for Daytime running lights
6. Select Tagfahrlicht-Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusartzlich Standlicht
7. Change setting to active
8. Remember to tap the green tick to set.
But no, I didn't even find "daytime running lights" part, when the switch is in auto position, they are still on in the rear. Ok if the switch is in 0 - position, the rears aren't but this isn't the solution. Has anyone turned on or off "scandinavian DRL" in europe on MK7.5?

^^ Hmm........... looks like a set of instructions that I posted over on the mk7 forum. You have a BCM (Body Control module which OBD11 calls "Central Electrics" module) that is post MY16. This means that the first part of my tweak instructions will not apply because the boffins @ VW changed the data base structure in their later modules (there's a note somewhere on this forum about the change- but I can't find it now!)
So, what you need to do is to search for "Front" and select Außenlicht_Front in my step 5
However, there are a number of ways to implement rear DRLs - not just with the "Scandinavian DRL" tweak, But try this first
