They should know but I doubt they will
You can also get it lifted by someone who has the system and access

hello, sorry to jack this thread but does every dealer have the knowledge of how to remove cp? i know they dont have to help you(they dont like retrofits) but do all of them know how to? hmm......... that's a tuff question!! It depends on how skilled the dealer's "master technician" is with using ODIS (the dealer equivalent diagnostic tool). As I said in the first part of this thread, CP testing is a process that is performed by the Gateway module at each ignition switch-on. The Gateway module keeps a list of the identity of the main modules in the car at the previous ignition switch-on (i.e the factory identity list based on the car's VIN). The CP process is simply the task of the Gateway module comparing this previous list with the responses from the current ignition switch-on identities The only "legitimate" way to solve CP errors is to change the identity of the new module in the Gateway's factory module-list so the comparison process yields no differences. To do this, the car must be hooked-up to FAZIT which is the world-wide database in VW headquarters and only registered dealers can do this. Dealers use a "guided process" for most of their ODIS work and I would expect that the task of removing CP is simply a matter of following a set of written instructions that VW provides to their dealer technicians. So it shouldn't be a complex task to remove CP by the dealer - it should be easy and it shouldn't take a long time to complete. But the dealer technician needs to be aware of the process. Of course in Tray's case - it sounds like the MIB2 unit was hacked - so the dealer technician won't be able to follow the "legitimate" process to remove the CP error. With a hacked module - the technician needs additional knowledge and not many dealers have technicians with this kind of knowledge! Don

Can you suggest any thing Don
My sound is working but it’s not perfect the sub is producing sound and bass rather then just bass
Is this a coding fault or CP

Here's the system diagram for the Dynaudio System showing how the amplifier (J525) is connected: Notice that the Amplifier controls ALL speakers - not just the Bass coils! J525 is a 10 x channel amplifier (8 x speakers + 2 x sub-woofer coils) If your unit is not sounding correct, perhaps it's a coding issue for the amplifier, itself - I'm not sure? You should be able to find coding for the new amplifier from a scan of a car in your part of the world on the net Don

What I mean is Don, you can hear vocals from the sub
I’ve checked my mates sub and it just produces a thumbing bass like sound and no vocals or anything else
On mine it is the same as a regular speaker
Hope you do understand what I’m trying to say

If I installed my original mib unit(unhacked version) Could I remove CP then install hacked version
Would this work?

hmm...... I'm clearly not communicating properly - my apology.
As I have said,a CP error will occur when the Gateway sees a module that is not in its list of factory set module identities. If you re-install your original MIB, the Gateway will see that the MIB identity is the same as the factory unit and NO CP error will result.
Have you satisfied yourself that the code-string on the new amplifier module is correct by comparing it with other code-strings from the net?
Don

I have just compared to my friends vechicle who also has mib 2 and dynaudio from factory and realised my amp was coded incorrectly
I have copied his amp coding and the fault from 47 sound system which stated incorrectly coded module has since gone
I have also copied his 5F coding string
The sound has somewhat changed and improved but the sub is still producing vocals along with bass
Also when I insert a dvd all the sound is working except for the speech?
I have since Scanned my vehicle and there is an error in the gateway which I can’t understand, I will post scan

Another thing I have noted is when I initially connect to my car, the 47 Sound System is in black as if it doesn’t exist
But once I go into it, it shows all information about the amp long coding etc
And when I go back to all module selection in turns back to green as all others
I have checked my gateway module and there is no history so nothing has been changed there so I’m assuming it’s coding
As I mentioned I have access to a mib2 dynaudio from factory so can see the gateway on that but I don’t want to change anything in gateway without knowing what as I don’t want more errors or worse

Post by Tray on Jan 7, 2018 22:23:38 GMT
Managed to remove the error code in the gateway module
When I connected to my mates car, which has dynaudio from factory I realised the 47 Sound System wasnt enabled So I enabled it to copy all the coding
When I copied the coding to mine the 5F error which stated incorrect coded module disappeared Then I just had the gateway error
This made me think why the 47 Sound System wasn’t enabled in the factory fitted cars list I just thought it was something weird that VW decided to do to make copying coding difficult
But I scanned my mates vehicle only to find the same gateway error when 47 is enabled So removing 47 once coded is essential
The only problem I have now is my sub is producing music along with bass I am putting this down to not having the rear tweeters wired yet and the amp is sending the signal from the tweeters which are not connected yet to the sub as all channels need to be out putted somewhere
I’m not very good with things like this but does that make sense I will be wiring tweeters this week hopefully should solve the final problem

Everything is wired correctly and I’m still getting vocals from the sub My sound focus doesn’t work on the dynaudio profile but if you select individual and move the back to the area where you want the sound it works
Can anyone help with this

Hi, did you solve amplifier sound issues?. If you got it brand new it does not have any parameters loaded, you need to get this done and it will sound great, I experienced same problem with an mib2 amplifier on an a3 vag can pro can fix this.

Hi. I am thinking to retrofit dynaudio system on my Passat B8 GTE (2016). According to what I read here, looks like I am going to need the amplifier: 5Q0 035 456, can someone confirm that? I have the MIB2 Main unit (factory installed).
I will look after the complete set, including cables but without the subwoofer because GTE's don't have space for that. After this retrofit (and correct coding) are all the functions available like the factory installed system? Is this a big audio quality improvement?

Thanks Adrian. I already bought the whole kit and installed it. Sound is better now, but subwoofer is a bad joke. Anyway I will hack the amplifier later. I was looking for some easter eggs now, (in long coding) for more sound options. for example, central speaker volume adjustment...

Hey guys!
It might be very strange question, but is there any coding which can disable the subwoofer in the spare wheel compartment? I don't need it, I want to buy full size spare wheel. Can I simply disconnect the cable, remove the subwoofer and put the wheel? Will it cause any error? I have B8FL + Discover Pro + Dynaudio.

Try to disconnect subwoofer. I think that subwoofer is the byte 7 channel 12 TT in module 47

Don aka Dv52, hey my man i know you are probably exhausted from this thread after what i read. So i have a coded error that i never had before. I'm thinking it's from this updated firmware HN+R_US_AU_K0942_3 as well as the 2021 maps update and as well as repartioning a new hdd to ssd with powershell and clonezilla and dd on windows, EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH , Which I did myself and a ton of research and downloads and slow as ever updates. I did recently on my 2015 CAED A6 with the 3G+ MMI. U106A00 (DIGITAL SOUND SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE)is the code it threw at me. Not sure. But hey man you were awesome and very knowledgeable. You were on my last platform for the mqb a3 platform. Would you let me know whats going on? Im confused on this one Radio sounds great still (bose sound system).. shoot you know what i tried clearing the code again and it didn't pop up so nevermind don. Hey either way man i appreciate you and the work you put in thank.😁
